Well, my world ended at least. Konohagakure was taken from under it's clans. I am writing this from Sunahagakure after the evacuation.

The enemy opened some kind of portal to bring in their main force and they overwhelmed us, reinforcements arrived but we didn't have enough control of the battlefield to make a stand.

The covenant brushed aside our Hidden Village in a single blow.

I don't understand what's going to happen now, but i'm going to stay with the Inka. A very pretty people and free with what they have, which is one of the silver linings to this dark cloud.

I have to go, too much to drink and a tumble with whomever I can get my hands on should give me something else to worry about in the morning.

Then I can start worrying about how to get back at these invaders.. My heart really isn't in it right now.. We were outfought and outmaneuvered. It's a blow.

Enough melancholy, time to celebrate survival and remind myself there's things to be had in Suna

First the Uchiha deigned to turn up at the compound in force, it seems despite the prohibition on Kumo-Nin entering the compound no-one actually prevents them until they make it well inside the gates. The Uchiha man leading the party was rude and threatening.

Princess Arietta saw the intentions, but was goaded into exchanging unpleasantries anyway, unfortunately she tipped her hand about the Raikage and likely now even if he win's the civil war the Uchiha are likely to start now they know of his implied support he will be no friend of the Inka. At worse he may disavow them entirely to discredit their claims and fully support the Uchiha.

She is beautiful and fiery, but i've been informed by the delicious Setsune that her interests lie soley in men. So despite 'tells' like having far fewer offspring than is average for the Inka, despite the rarity of her branch she is not someone to have that sort of fun with. I think I still like her though.

The other girl is proving equally difficult to pin down into anything.. I come on too strong? We'll see about that!

Mm.. Setsune is warming my bed, as promised. Time to slip under the sheets xxxx

I forgot to go into proper detail last night; Kissing games with the Prince and Katriana, even if they weren't as good at performing the Med-NinJutsu as they might have been. I was quite flattered until Setsune appeared and there was a mad rush to practice on them.

Oh well, perhaps with all the full-bosomed and lovely Inka present flat chested beauties are a bit of a rare treat. I wonder if they know they are on high combat alert perpetually and probably never let their mind wander in that direction..?

Oh, well. Things will probably progress in one direction or the other with Kat, she is exotically beautiful; an almost inhuman quality about her. Feisty and energetic but at the same time worried by harmless flirting?

Oh well, we'll see what happens today. I won't have 'just met' her at least.

Who knew that eating muffins could be so dangerous? Anyway Katriana was all.. taking the lead and not listening to anyone. I'm starting to think she's more than a bit full of herself, with no real concept or compliance to the will of the ad-hoc squads she finds herself part of.

In this case it led us into a dangerous fight with a composite creature of a Nihano and an unknown entity. The Nihano was freed but we didn't get her message.

As it turned out her body had been stolen, along with her lover's. The troubling thing is that her lover was a woman, and the unknown entity was a man.

I've sent my report to the Kazekage, after-all it's his village but I have the most unpleasant feeling we arn't done with matters yet. I'll really have to accelerate training of Jutsu and Genjutsu to be prepared for more monsters like that.

Havn't heard anything about either of the 'Wars' in a while. I don't take that as a good sign; more like we don't really know what the covenant are doing or how to counter it.

I saw the Hokage today after following Katriana. She wants us for the Leaf's contribution to the Diplomatic mission. It's pleasing to get some recognition at last, and it's a good chance to form connections that might come into play later, if the small villages do form a true alliance with each other then someone who knows how to interact with them could become very valuable, in a leadership position.

That aside, this Advsior is the sort who could easily be a double, or triple agent, and will bear watching. It's obvious that his leaving was the arranged signal to the covenant waiting to ambush Hyou. Which troubles me considerably.

Katriana is more distant than ever, i'm starting to wonder if this was ever a good idea at all, but the diplomatic duties will give us a certain amount of time. Although I have a feeling forming consensus and a united front with her will worse than a Genjutsu.

I hope Arietta will be alright, she got hurt pretty badly and I wasn't able to help her out. I'm a little envious of the Nihano if they're married. I hope they'll be happy together.

How can you become a member of a clan living in Suna and still be a Leaf Villager? It's so obvious that she means to remain in Suna with her loving new family and maybe squeeze some thing from the Leaf Village on past/current association.

Maybe Arietta is testing the Hokage and maybe she isn't. The Inka are very 'nice', almost unfathomably so and this is the only real hint to the endgame of that, the fact I was thrown out for suggesting they might be playing a very clever game suggests the limits of their patience don't extend to people that seem to be on to them.

Bloody Katriana told me today that she was some kind of prophecised hero and so had no possibility of dying.. and then changed it so she did. But didn't. More people have gotten killed thinking they were the chosen one than have ever fulfilled a prophecy.

Why did they take what I said so harsh if they were really friends? I'm not a Suna Ninja (yet at least) and I have to look out for my village. I didn't pitch a hissing fit when they decided to stop unclean foreigners like me from entering their temple!

Nothing for it but to grovel. I really wished i'd been able to help save Arietta. It's so tough being in this position where other's can extent the 1000th part of their resources and it's almost impossible to pay it off. Maybe that would have been a card I could use now to show that my opinion of the Inka was balanced and concerned with specific issues. Alas, not so.

Mikoto seemed quite reasonable, until he decided to try and attack Hyou. Maybe he'll kill me if he hears I said his sister was a stunning and charismatic leader but that I wouldn't be 'taken in' by niceness. What makes people take admiration as a deadly insult?

Arietta would be a terrible leader if she acted on friendliness and love when it went against her clan's interests but that's what they want everyone to say she does?

Crazy people! Well she's been moved to the Kariou, might have to send her a love note, easier than grovelling outright and doesn't strip me of the ability to protest some parts of what she's doing.

Need a plan for Kat too. How do I keep all these plates in the air without dropping all of them, even brilliant as I am? *Sigh* xxxx

Alessia lurked in the library of Sunagakure. Digging out old books on legal and historical precedents;
Telling enough part of it was focused on those that had risen to power within their clans, but also challenges to a Kage (of any village) that had been successful on legal grounds or through clan revolt.

She also studied several old tomes regarding Genjutsu, finding herself slightly frustrated by the lack of what could be done only with mental chakra manipulations.

There's got to be some way to use it more effectively she thought, becoming absorbed in ways to harm directly with her powers.

Although she didn't find out how to create that effect, several chapters on lightly touching the mind with chakra in order to disrupt the senses more subtly caught her eye.

That, she found fascinating. The ability to manipulate what people felt and perceived so subtly as not to provoke a counter response, it would remove one of the barriers preventing mind tricks from being as effective as Ninjutsu. One after all could not will Ninjutsu out of existence.

That's an intriguing thought.. she considered, setting it by as a later research topic

Yamanaka Telepathy didn't develop to the levels required until around the age most Ninja were considered for Jounin, but it had it's possibilities.

A Genjutsu to skim the mind and pass the knowledge to my squad? That would show the Nara and Kariaou a thing about effective co-ordination.. Better sensory Jutsu could also be beneficial, if I can transfer that information.

She jotted more down in her new research journal. "Yes, yes that could work"

She slipped out of the library some hours later, with a few books that seemed like they would yield insights with further study.

I will show them that the Yamanaka are no lesser clan.. and that I am no less than any of these nobles

Fortunately gambler's fallacy shouldn't apply in this case. Although finding out whether Inka refrain from reproduction until post marking could be relevant; The casualty rate of 50%+ is for Inka naturally selected by the mark for centuries. The rate for non Inka not subject to these pressures should be exceedingly low.

Oh well, best not to think about that, you live or you die every day.. Masaru-chan is becoming more and more powerful and useful with his training. I suppose he might be what you call a prodigy. He has a certain flair and charm that seems to infect others.. I wonder if he could teach me how?

Anyway, yes it's amazing how quickly i've come around to this idea, but then realizing it affects so little for Katriana makes it very appealing. I'd have to protect the Inka, and guard their secrets but it doesn't seem very.. onerous.

I'll see what happens if I ever manage ten minutes alone with Arietta.. and as for you.. I know you like what i've taken to wearing.. xxxx

I met my sister today.. she isn't coming back.. I tried to get her to give up her ways and get a pardon by ratting out what she knows of the covenant, she claims she's on a mercenary contract with them and her real goal is.. still the rather gauche world domination thing.

I care about her though, and don't want her to get hurt.. but when I pushed too hard she took control of me and made me fight my friends.. it was horrible, but everyone was mostly unharmed and we took a prisoner.

We also learned that the Kuroyami prisoners are capture resistant, which will help in the future. Interrogation in the field should reveal the trigger and allow it to be circumvented. Perhaps with a Genjutsu applied strategically, incase being captured or interrogated -is- the trigger.

I'm just.. really worried about Yokuei.. she doesn't seem in over her head and I know she must be.. but I have faith in her.. is that wrong? Having faith in your family even though they are the enemy? I don't know anymore.. but she had me half undressed when I came around.. What is that supposed to mean?

I'll find out, one way or another. I just hope i'm never placed in such an awkward situation again. Katriana-chan and Masaru-chan seemed to be involved in my rescue. Maybe Kat will be a bit more pliable if I am a bit 'thankful'? I can certainly hug and be obliging for my rescuer.

Although i'm sure with time I could have brought Youkei around. I want her to return of her own will, not in chains! She's always been my big sister, so pretty and good at everything, she'd be an asset.. I know it.

Oh well, I can't change what's already past. I'll hit up Shi and find out if she can nod or blink to let me know if burning to ashes if captured is the sort of thing their clan uses and see if any covenant regulars brought in have been combusting.

I can't write very much today because alot of it could get people into trouble, but I met my sister today again while trying to find Haku Hojo to thank him for the lovely outfit Niomi gave me thanks to him.

They didn't come with panties, so i'm not wearing any. I kind of want to see the Hojo Kunochi spar now, if they don't wear knickers when doing all those backflips and stuff.. I guess that's a bit perverted and I shouldn't be that way.

Anyway, Youkei-nee is all locked up along with her accomplice. I'm not sorry about her but it hurts to have Youkei behind bars, and she's so unrepentant? Why won't she stay and work towards clearing her name!

She's so frustrating.. she's always known how to force me to see her success as the only outcome to hope for. This is no different.. I hope she can acquire enough legitimate power to satisfy her and keep her safe. Maybe her own village where she could solve her problems diplomatically?

She could also just.. return home. She hasn't cut down any Hyuuga like the other one did. But not my sister, she has to win. It's funny how the things about her I try to emulate and are lacking in me are what's leading Youkei into darkness.

I hope there's someone to trade for her, but not too soon. I kind of want to visit her in prison, maybe with some food, if it's allowed.

Beyond that I really like Akiza. It's hard to know how to feel about her.. she just touches me wherever she feels like it. I don't know if she likes me or if she just has eight wandering hands.

She did try to turn me towards boys though, I know she definitely likes boys because she tried to three way marry us to Kaga, which I thought would be kind of cool. I'd have a great girlfriend and a good chance of Hyuuga offspring when I decided I wanted that.. and I mean if I was married I should be able to experiment with boys casually?

.. What a weird thought!

I suppose if she doesn't like me I should be glad she shows attention so equally. I kind of like getting a reaction from someone that isn't "I am attracted to someone else" or "I'm in a relationship" even playful fondling is a big move up, and she's so fun to be around. Today I spend the majority of the day in training, trying to bring my Genjutsu up to par with clan techs. It's been too long since I was able to use both with equal proficiency and it could be a deadly mistake in combat if i'm becoming predictable.

Youkei is still locked up inside the prison and I haven't been able to visit her, i'm kind of worried about what she might do to any girlfriend I can find if she finds out, but she doesn't own me!

Akiza-chan is very sweet and lovely, I think it's clear she prefers men but she has a lovely body and an infectious disposition. She always makes me feel welcome and valued company. I'm really going to try and sleepover in the same bed. She's so flirty and I don't think she's really all that big on serious commitment.. a good advantage for a single lady in my position to take.

Unlike Rin-chan, who seems to regard liking someone as a reason for monogamy, i've offered to spend the night without commitment to ah.. show her what I can do but she isn't inrerested, even though we are technically two single women. How infuriating.

Katriana-chan is all.. uncontrollable. I don't know how to feel about her now i'm no longer pursuing her. She seems to dislike monogamy aswell, but focuses it towards incredible cutsie affection with everyone. She made a Justu to do it, and i'll eventually have to counter that. Yamanaka do not take kindly to being out-prettied!

.. I think that's everyone of potential interest.. Which is shocking, there should be more eligible cuties with two villages co-existing but there you are.

Later on we had to track down some kid with unique powers over time and gravity, someone has been hunting his clan until he's now the last of them. Who-ever is after him is able to empower and control Shinobi dogs with Fuinjutsu. Hopefully this time he won't ditch his Jounin bodyguard.

If my ideal love life was a dessert it would be Akiz-chan as a hot chocolate fudge topped with cream, a fruity strawberry Katriana centre and a satisfyingly crunchy Rin biscuit centre at the bottom after alot of effort. Mmm.. I want one of those.. now.. Time to hit the restraunt! xxxx

Akiza-chan today agreed to become engaged to an Uchiha to improve clan relations. Which is a bad thing in itself. Uchiha and Hyuuga being all friendly? No way that'll be good for anyone else! I need to make some sort of plan. If I do rescue her i'm totally taking her up on her possibly joking offer!

She did get beaten down pretty bad by Rin. Rin is so weird, she's so calm and stoic and then she loses it and nearly destroys someone. It keeps her interesting. Still chasing the same girl in circles though! The girl with the huge.. weapon.

Maybe she's just suspicious of telepathic Genjutsuists. I should show her that Genjutsu can be waaay more fun than poking each other with pointy things. You'd think liking girl's as she does she'd already know that!

It's ridiculous that it would be so hard to find a nice girl to spend time with. The ones that arn't total prudes are just as quick to jump into a wedding as a bedroom. Now I know how Arietta-chan feels. I wish she swung my way and was interested in me because that would be pretty.. uhm.. fairytale, actually.

In other news the long range mind control Jutsu isn't even related to the Yamanaka Jutsu. That should be good news but it's starting to seem like everyone had an answer to us. Either better control or some kind of inherent immunity to what we do.

The techniques have to be developed in some way. I wonder if there's a Genjutsu/Jutsu that could permanently alter the subjects mind into an affectionate, loving state? Yes this is what i'm being reduced to right now.

Mm.. Ok thought experiment.. who would I use it on? Kiza can break out of Genjutsu.. and I wouldn't want to spoil her nice personality.

I suppose i'd use it on Katriana, because she has nice looks but doesn't seem like she'd make a very good girlfriend. She seems like she'd make sure she was the driving, deciding force in any relationship.

Rin is pretty sane, so a tweak towards her inclination to me seems perfect. I'll put that as a maybe? I like her and she seems respected. She'd be a really good girlfriend for socializing, maybe as good as Arietta!

What does she see in that Anika-hussy? Childhood sweethearts? Maybe she's slipping love potion in Rin's milk.. That sounds like a plan..

Is it moral? I don't know. On a scale of 'most happiness for the least harm' it seems as though it's utterly without reproach. Funny that..

So things got a little strange yesterday, spending time with my little engaged sweetheart Akiza. Reading dirty magazines, sharing body heat, practicing medical ninjutsu and generally being clit-teased to within an inch of my life.. but she said something else that could be a throwaway or something significant. She said she'd find me an Uchiha Noblewoman that would be good enough to satisfy all my urges?

Now that sounds a bit too good to be true, it's funny how you can go from regarding people as scum when you have no vested stake in their survival and yet have that shaken pretty quickly when you imagine a beautiful, red-eyed noble that Akiza thinks is 'fun' and all the things that could follow from that.

She's such a tease.. On the other hand my remaining 'good' option is Shi, the Necromancer chick. I have fun talking to her and she doesn't judge me or call me a slut like the others. Though she has this interesting idea that if I die she'll enslave me as a ghost. I'm not sure wether I should be more worried about that or the fact that pairing it up with a compliment left me rather looking forward to it.

Well, we'll see what happens. Maybe she'll learn a Jutsu to bring me back good and proper! Though being a ghost could be cool, I imagine being incorporeal wouldn't be much fun, along with there being Jutsu to 'cheat' with the undead.

But there's the update on my love life, Anika can seemingly do no wrong and until she slips up Rin is out of my reach. I'll just try and stay away from her, Kaga seems kind of level-headed and that's how he deals with these things.

Anyway regarding Shi the Inka really have it in for her clan, Mikoto turned -really- nasty, implying that he'd get the Kazekage to.. well.. act on the Inka's behalf to hurt them. So unlike him, but Shi is cool, she didn't take any of it, but she wasn't very diplomatic about it. It'll be the best test of the Inka to see how they treat Shi in the future, as someone they're unlikely to be able to schmooze or get much use out of.

Anyway, I might need to find a new toy soon. But i've had quite alot of success imagining a made up Uchiha fiancee, so I guess in a way Akiza did help make up the lack. I suppose I can get why she'd want to marry an Uchiha.. She told me she wouldn't mind if Sensui had his way with Genjutsu or other means so I think maybe, Hyuuga immunities not withstanding the Uchiha's 'mean' reputation turns her on.

I think we might be kindred spirits. Hah! Love and kissies my book of secrets!

If I can't do that i'll probably have to bring my claims to Mikoto and maybe Arietta. Arietta seems too weak to kids though, being as broody as well.. Something very broody. Mikoto was kinda wrathful when he heard the name Kurayomi, i'm sure he'll take a complaint seriously and use his influence to prove the guilt!

Oh well, at least Akiza is single again. You'd think that would be good news but it seems to split her time even more! Well, I think I made a good impression so all I have to do is edge out Kaga and Sensui long enough for one of them to accept the two for one offer we have made!

She got out of hospital aswell, Katriana tried to pull a tricky move by declaring her fit to leave then wanting to keep her for unstated reasons. I.. put a stop to that. She was really into Akiza's tits aswell, considering it was punch in her back very little attention was paid there.

Seero peered in and got an eyeful. I wonder if it was on purpose? Pervert! I should try to get something more fashionable to impress Akiza.. Arietta is pretty sure it's dresses and looks and things that impress her rather than just being about personality.

My dear Akiza is shallow! Luckily that actually works in my favour! I suppose, since we're both very good looking girls and I kind of like it that way!

So long elegant dresses or skimpy little things? Akiza seems to favour the skimpy variety.. She's not shy except on the rare occasions she is, and she blushes so cutely then!

She has the men wrapped around her finger, and I suppose i'm not really an exception there, although I don't have the bug as bad as Kaga does. Being a classic 'true love at first sight' case, and knowing her from basically day one of existence from what i've heard.

Anyway, have to do something about that creepy kid. We're both theoretically peers as Genin but everyone is super protective of him and he's milking it. Masaru frigging hates me now. He'll learn the truth eventually, I just have to keep digging.

It did feel pretty good to make the effort at least once in a while though!

Besides that I did see Akiza a little and I think her and Kaga are getting all down and dirty.. In hospital of all places! Kaga wandered out all sweaty and tired looking. Lucky thing! Said he had to go do some gardening. Hah, as if the plants couldn't wait for attention! Well, I suppose Akiza is a delicate flower all her own..

Katriana is a bit of a stick in the mud, I asked what she did for fun and she gave me this look and this attitude that 'she' spends 'all' her time working for the good of her 'village'. Her poor brain must be baked from the heat, she hasn't even been near our village in weeks.

But yeah, she comes on all high and mighty, her that bounces up and down wide eyed and talking about kittens anytime she sees someone she presumably finds attractive. She turned me down because having a girlfriend would ruin her plans to be omnigamous. Makes such perfect sense!

It's not worth worrying about her right now, i'll just have to see how she is when her approach finally fails and she drops the total cutsie act for good. I think i'm starting to notice a marked preference for bad girls actually, or at least those with a streak of grim violence; Rin isn't evil I don't think but she has a refreshingly pragmatic outlook on killing baddies.

I'll just have to see how thing's go with Anika, and take any opportunities as they come. I still have Akiza to spend time with, at least.
