Rise of the Sparrowhawk (Hiyodori Time-skip)

It was atypical of her but Hiyo felt that the Chuunin exam was a defining point for her; a time were she declared to the world that she rightfully belonged in the life she had chosen to live. A victory over both ailments of the body and mind; over sickness and doubt. Hiyodori entered in to the rank of Chuunin confident in her abilities and herself. With that completed she had rested for a short month to please her parents; whom still fretted over her health.

During that resting period, she left for steel country with her then boyfriend, Kagayite Hyuuga for a vacation whilst he dealt with a diplomatic mission. Whilst there, it was discovered that dissident samurai were aiming to break the alliance with the ninjas; they selected Hiyo and Kaga as targets, managing to injure Hiyo in the process. She forgave her attacker after defeating them and instead of resting as people suggested, she took charge and listened to the dissidents when nobody else would. They wanted to stay out of the fight between the ninja villages and the covenant. With a days talks, Hiyo brought them round to the idea of alliance. Making herself known amongst the steel as a kind and unbiased diplomat.

After commendations from the Sand village, Hiyo went back to training full-force; creating many new techniques from the various dreams and meditative ideas she had. Creating her own Nintaijutsu art of a literally explosive variety. Complementing that was her mastery of specific chakra focusing allowing her sharp bursts of speed. After a demonstration of her new skill at a Nihano clan festival they started dubbing her 'The Sparrow-hawk' as a play on her child-like nickname 'Little Sparrow'. Somewhere deep down she enjoys the fact they no longer see her so childishly; another enjoys a -badass- alias.

When she went back on active duty, she was given many foreign missions where conditions were 'hot', citing her ability to listen to the other side and her ability to quickly 'diffuse' it as she saw necessary. The mission bureau saw her as someone that rarely to never attacked without cause. However, she wasn't recognised for that kind of mission.

At some point, a group of mercenary ninja had either used reconnaissance or theft to gain information on the sand village. A group of ninja including Hiyo had been tasked to recover this. When they were confronted by a blockage; Hiyo volunteered to stay behind to stop that lone blockade Missing ninja from halting the mission. This Merc was 'Jiatsu Hyuuga' someone reputed to also have explosive taijutsu. A perfect match, brawn versus speed.

The battle was hard and fierce; reports saying that the flames caused by the explosions were enough to cause melt rock and that somewhere in the canyons of Wind country there is a small valley made of glass and obsidian were both Chinook duked it out. In the end, Hiyo defeated Jiatsu; using her smarts to deflect explosions and heat with convection and channeling wind currents through various means. Jiatsu, after major surgery and healing back in suna, is now within their jails on a more permanent basis.

After this, Hiyo was recognised more formally as a Foreign Affairs Liaison and given more freedom to travel as needed. Using a ninja monkey gifted by her family to communicate with her village. This is were she finds herself now. Comfortable and Confident; hoping she can use what talents she's discovered to perhaps soften the war between the covenant and the Ninja Alliance. Here's hoping the Sparrow-hawk may also be a dove.
