The Night-Lotus clan has long been held in high regard by those of leaf village, the cherished keepers of the dead; and well generally respected, their services a relief to those who need them, they are often avoided socially, due to the tendency for them to be a bit of eccentric and have their 'vices' - they are generally considered 'sensible' outside of their social issues. They joined the leaf village simply by virtue of having living near it at its founding, and it being a sensible choice to 'sign up'. The clan itself marks itself by many different names (none of them bearing the family name Night Lotus), but only one fuinjutsu, the hallmark of the clan as it marks their destiny. The seal takes on the form of a Lotus, placed on each member of the clan at birth (and those who marry or are adopted into the clan, though the ceremony itself is considered their 'birth' in the clan as well) the color varies from person to person, though it darkens as a person reaches towards the end of their life by natural means, as the approach 'the night'. The function of the seal, is to bind their soul, to guard them against those who would bring harm to their soul protecting them from all manner of harm, even against Jashin. It is said that when a member of the Night-Lotus clan dies, they do not join others before Jashin, but rather become nature spirits, eternally guarded against the ravages of the past, after death their souls join with the land and become spirits of it, river, earth, wind, and beyond. The seal itself is the cause for their strange nature, at once seeming timeless but at the same time, the soul rebels against it while they still draw breathe, unnatural for a human to bear such, they often cope by resorting to human vices, gambling, flirting, and drink. At the same time, their soul well protected and ever pushed and bound by natural forces, they are often passive, very even keeled, making talented medical nin and the like with ease, as well as functioning in their duties, never known to simply 'panic', have a rather deep understanding of death.

The final function of the seal is what binds them to the natural world, so protected from death they are, they can never truly die.
DF: The Night-Lotus seal offers immunity to soul based attacks, such as soul sealing and jashiniest blood circle. It does not however protect against CP attacks and the like, only things effecting the soul. When a Night-Lotus character dies, they are allowed to submission to rebuild themselves as a nature spirit, allowing them to make a separate submission as to how that would play out for them (a complete rebuild of their slots). A secondary seal is known to all members of the clan, a seal that covers over the Night Lotus seal, marking them as dead by the fuinjutsu, while they still draw breathe. Allowing the secondary effects of becoming a nature spirit begin, even while they still live. The effect even works on other people seeing the souls within. DF: Allows for interaction with the spirit world, even allowing them to see souls within a person; thereby affording some gains similar to chakra sight IE: Able to see HP/CP and get a +10 to spot. While this is active they get a +2 vs illusions such as genjutsu, but must pay 2 cp per resistance. (All members of the clan have this jutsu - no lesson needed)
Call of the Ancestors Type: Summoning Cost: 5 CP Description: Giving up a bit of their soul as tribute, in place of blood, the Night Lotus draws forth their ancestors, to face the true enemy of their clan, the risen dead, those who have died but cheat death, and those bound by reanimation jutsu. So unnatural so terrible, the spirits of nature rise up against such foes in mass, once they feel the call.
Grave Seal Type: Fuinjutsu Rank: C Cost: 5 CP Description: This seal binds a given body into the earth of their grave itself, allowing for a form of ultimate protection against would be grave robbers, even if the grave was dug up, they would only find earth. However it is a technique with some limitations. DF: Seals one corpse in the earth; Can be seen through with Spirit Sight, Chakra Sight, or Similar means. Cannot be detected with natural means.
Autopsy (Trained with Boushi) Jutsu Type: Medical Ninjutsu Rank: C Cp: 5 Description: This jutsu focuses the users chakra throughout a body/corpse, gaining an in depth examinations of their last physical moments before death, emotions, trauma, even flashing the before the eyes the last sight the corpse had seen in life, (provided the technique is used within 1 day of death for visions). This also reveals more specific information related to the techniques and training, and even body modifications of each village, as well as information on diet, the user of this jutsu is able to determine what village or country the corpse originated from, as well as the presence or former presence of any kekkai gankai or body modifications. PvP Effect: Scans one body for HP/CP and a Kekkei Genkai or Clan Equivalent. Soul Seal Type: Fuinjutsu Rank: B Cost: 8 CP Description: A seal that binds the soul of a given enemy, living or dead, though the living find this technique much less effective against them. Sealing the targets soul within a scroll. DF: 2 round stun or until hit on the living, int/wis/cha to break even if an ability allows for dex/str/con to be used it fails against this technique as they are without their body. The sealing is indefinite with no chance to escape versus reanimated dead.
Rejuvenate Type: Medical Rank A Cost: 15 CP Description: The knowledge of life and death offered to those of the Night Lotus clan using this they gain further ability to assist others recuperation, very long stays into much shorter visits with repeated castings. This jutsu is a godsend for those who suffer from long recoveries from devastating techniques. PVP: To be used out of combat Reduces time until recovery from jutsu (IE: Hospitalization) by 1 day per casting, to reduce to the final 0 days requires a 130 dc heal roll and if the d20 is less then 5 then auto fail (if 1 add a day~). (reducing the last day can only be tried once per injury)
Call of Twilight Type: Light & Medical Rank: S+ Cost: 30 (each) Special Requirement: Both users must have the Seal of Embrace upgrade. An extremely rarely used technique of the clan requiring two members of it to use it in the same round, a ying-and-yang sign is created in the sky marking life and death, one half made by one user, the other made by another, its form binding in the sky with one another spinning slowly in the sky speeding up rapidly faster and faster, before seemingly exploding in a massive wave of chakra and spiritual energy. The difficulty of finding two who can use it extreme among the clan. Requiring two members to work in easy harmony. DF: Country-wide AOE: All reanimated corpses and undead are instantly banished.(Highest casting stat vs highest casting stat.)
Mark of the Dragon Sage ~Item~ Description: A tattoo granted by dragons to those they would have summon them, those who show the most affinity or prowess are granted this to imbue them with their power, those who have the potential to become 'sage'. Katriana bears this mark along her cheek, bearing it since she was quite young, since she first awakened her 'soul sight' and happened upon a dragon spirit who found her of 'worth'. The symbol of contract forever marked upon her face for all to see, and marking her development with strange temperament as her body adjusted to the seal, her blood more like a dragons. Confusion Jutsu Jutsu Type: Genjutsu Rank: A Cp: 13 Description: The target see conflicting images, friends becoming foes and people turning into rocks, this causes great confusion and often leads to friendly fire and other unforeseen results PvP Effect: The target is confused for 1d4+1 (max 3) rounds. The target then while confused rolls a 1d4 (1-2 they attack the nearest ally with basic taijutsu or basic kenjutsu if a weapon is currently held by the confused target (If there is no ally, they simply stand there in confusion on their turn), 3-4 they hit their target) They may not use genjutsu, ninjutsu, taijutsu combos or clan techs while confused.
-Sloth Jutsu Jutsu Type: Genjutsu Rank: A Cp: 13 Description: Using a carefully refined Genjutsu the user send the target into a realm of totally Sloth, where every action seem meaningless and the best thing to do is just fall asleep. PvP Effect: The targets suffer -4 to ATK/DEF rolls for 1d4 (min 2) rounds as they fight to stay awake. Genjutsu resilience does not apply for this jutsu.
-Shinigami Jutsu Jutsu Type: Genjutsu Rank: A Cp: 13 Description: This jutsu takes two rounds to use, the first round creates a large Death God that stand behind the target silently waiting, on the second round the Death God brings down its scythe and decapitates the target. This doesn’t do any actual damage but much chakra is destroyed by the Death Gods illusionary scythe. PvP Effect: One round stun, following round if still trapped, user does 2d10 + 3 cp damage.
-Elemental Denial Jutsu Jutsu Type: Genjutsu Rank: S CP: 20 Description: As the target is caught in the illusion they see themselves standing alone with the caster, as fire, water, stones, wind, and lightning course throughout the area, originating from the casters body. The five kanji for the elements appear and fade into the caster's body, making the target believe that the caster has ultimate control over the elements. Name: Succubus Technique Type: Hijutsu Rank: B CP: Special The succubus technique jutsu, is based around emphasizing feminine charms and using chakra to do so. Maintaining a constant lingering jutsu, the user seems more enchanting and beautiful to all her perceive them, curvier, fairer, eyes that just seem to sparkle almost to an unnatural level. Katriana uses this jutsu to not feel ugly around all the over the top sexy inka women (and men - especially Setsuna). However when using this technique to do more then stand there and be pretty it draws further chakra from the user instigating a cost. Using this jutsu makes one seems truly, enchanting - mostly on the account that they are enchanting themselves to look hotter. DF: Adds Wisdom to Charisma based checks in order to pass off one charms in RP (IE: Selling a lie, seducing, dancing), costs 2 cp per roll for charisma/bluff/persuade/perform. Based allowing people to use Katriana as a medium to say goodbye to loved ones, or grant relief in knowing there is life beyond death. When contacted it creates an incredibly warm and loving sensation, even to those disembodied, regardless of the message it bears. PVP: Allows distant communication/talking to a given person/soul.
Four Trigram Seal (Not yet paid for - purchase at chuunin - 20 tokens) Type: Fuinjutsu Rank: A Cost: 15 CP Description: Consisting of one Four Symbols Seals, the ritual process varies from individual to individual, however generally it is used to bind one being, or ability onto a person to be held within them. The exact mechanics of such are extensive, dealing with the souls of things and how all things relate to one another, to be mentioned henceforth: In the context of this jutsu, all creation is of deities, soul, true names, and no things are outside its touch, including the absence of things, for that too has a name. Everything has a specific name, a specific god or essence, groups of things have a greater deity and name that applies to all, this jutsu gains hold of that essence or deity, and forces it to submit to an unnatural state of being sealed, binding the essence and along with it the being, or object, or even a concept connected to it. The process of which becomes much more difficult the more abstract it is, and much more difficult the more 'foreign' it is. It's much more simple to bind a nail then it is the concept of love, or a soul, however such things are indeed possible within the confines of controlling the god of a thing. This version is the lesser version of the full eight trigrams seal - while it is able to bind even tailed beasts and the like, there is a chance for escape of whats bound, and one cannot fully 'master' whats within, only with the completed 8 trigrams does this become possible. The seal is considered 'unstable'. (The concept of all things having a deity borrowed form Shintoism, the concept of essence more from fantasy books, and the concept of true names directly stolen from DND - for a basis of controlling such things) PVP: Allows the user to bind, something into another. To create powers etc. Subject to approval when used on PC, (DM Permission required to properly work on a PC for a dice fight benefit, or in the case of an NPC, it need only have the DM running the NPCs permission) - This version is weaker then the full 8 trigrams version, thus limiting its capacity even though it can work on bijou. IE: When sealing a tailed beast, one would submit for the full power set as if the seal were the completed 8 trigram seal, however they would only be limited to the 15-or-25 level of the power, and not the jonin level until the 8 trigrams seal is completed on them.

Mental Trait [Trait one] “Photographic Memory”- Every now and again someone comes along with the rare ability to memorise things based on their first look; able to recall even the most minute detail with a thought. With your character’s ability to retain information in this fashion, you’re capable of automatically learning a jutsu by watching it once per week at the cost of 1 jutsu/week NOTE: Only up to C-rank jutsus can be learned by using photographic memory, and does not work with any hidden/forbidden jutsu.
