| Appearance Description : A short girl, her skin is fairly pale, yet not sickly so. Her hair falls in many braids, each tied with a different color thread, but all are bright. Her eyes sparkle like gems, amethyst, to be precise, especially when she is excited, or blowing things up. She has scars hidden on her back, from her past which she refuses to speak about, often spacing out of anyone asks, or changing the subject abruptly. History : - Spoiler:
Rarda was born to a loving couple, who were traveling between countries. She was technically born in Grass Country, but there are no living witnesses to lay claim to this, or anywhere. But, she was born, as they were trying to leave the Lands of Fire, and sneak into one of the other lands, the Lands of Wind, to be precise. They were runaways, fleeing for their lives, for the parents were shinobi, not of any high caliber, but deserters all the same. They settled where Rarda was born, her mother too weak for a time to move, and eventually, they just settled down. Rarda was a happy, curious child, always searching for new adventures, and wishing to go out and explore the world, for to her, it was a wondrous place to be seen. Her parents feared, even years later, that they would be found, and their fears were not missplaced.
When Rarda was of four years of age, her parents hid her in a secret room of their home, a basement below the basement. She was made to wait there for her parents return, but they never did. It was two days later, when she had no more water to drink, that she emerged against her parents wishes. It was dark, and quiet. She wandered around the house, calling for her mother, her father, but there was no answer. She went to the kitchen, and found it to be in shambles, the table overturned and broken, the window shattered, and dishes and food spread everywhere, stale and some showing the beginnings of rot, or fungus. She managed to find water, and a little bit of fruit, and after searching the house, parts of which were missing entirely, she went outside, scared of what she might find, or not find.
The area was as disastrous, if not more so, outside as it was inside. Trees were ripped from the ground, there was no grass anymore, it was all shifted, changed, with pointed spires of rock here and there, scorch marks in other places, and they had a new pool near the front of the house! At least, thats what was going through her mind. But she didnt know how any of it happened, and that it happened so quickly, scared her. She didnt want to go back inside. The darkness and quietness in there scared her, and she couldnt stay calm in there. Though outside was lite by the moon and stars, it still scared her, for everything around them was silent, except the wind. The wind was the only sound, and it too scared her, for it promised no hope for the young girl. Only solitude.
She awoke the next day, having fallen asleep while she was hiding under one of the small cliffs the earth had taken form of. She couldnt remember dreaming, but before any thoughts of such could begin to form in her mind, she heard something, a voice. Then another, and another, as a group of people began talking. She couldnt hear what they were saying, but they were by the house. As she looked around the cliff, she saw them. They were shinobi of some kind, though she didnt know that. One threw a bottle with a flamming rag on it into the house, and the house quickly took flame.
Rarda gasped, as the only home she had ever known was going up in flames, being destroyed forever. She began to cry, and as she slumped to the ground, they had heard her, and turned quickly, one throwing several Shuriken her way, and as she turned to run away, one caught her in the back, while the other two cut at her sides and the inside of her elbows. She cried out, and hit the ground hard, as they came up, one chastising another for being careless. "Look what youve done, wasting her life! She could have been useful to us..." Another laughed, as the third replied, "Its fine, shes barely out of diapers. I dont plan on putting work into her now, while she can barely walk!" Despite this, she was lifted by her head, tears streaming down her face, eyes closed shut out of fear, of what was happening, of what was going to happen, and so many other things she couldnt process at once.
After a moment of inspection, and retrieval of the weapons, she was laid on the ground, and dragged back with them, and though she didnt hear it, one spoke something of finding something she could do. She was brought to a rogue ninja camp, and patched up to a point where she wouldnt die, and she was set to work, cleaning mostly, keeping things tidy, under fear of death. Her only reward was the little bit of food and water that she was allowed in the morning, and before bed, when she was finally allowed to sleep. It had turned out the three were part of a larger band of rogue shinobi, and she never really knew how many there were. She was afraid of them all, and always had tears and sorrow in her eyes.
When she got old enough, only four years later at the age of eight, she was beaten for doing her jobs poorly, and would even be starved if they were feeling particularly cruel. This is when she began trying to run away, and had failed several times, resulting in almost no water, and no food for extended periods of time. She was broken, her will to live having died long ago, only ever having the fear to motivate her, that fear was breaking, wishing for death to take her at times. It was these times that the rogue ninja would decide to use her to lure in their prey, whether it was a wealthy merchant with a heart, or a shinobi that was becoming a pest to them, and was close to finding them. She was the bait, and then they would swoop in for the kill.
This worked for some time, but eventually backfired. She didnt see anyone, but knew that the prey was close, could almost feel them, and began speaking, saying the same thing over and over, untill she was screaming it, "Trap. Trap. Trap. Trap. Trap! Trap! Trap! TRAP!" she did not stop this, until a pair of hands were on her arms, shaking her gently. She immediately began to throw herself back, her words changing to many apologies and beggings for mercy, but it was not the hands of her captors which had been placed on her, but that of a shinobi of a village, Hidden in the Rock, to be precise. She was scared, but they brought her back with them, along with the bodies of the rogue shinobi, for disposal and learning anything they had known through techniques unknown to Rarda, though none of that she knew, except her captors were dead, and she was free of them, though whether she was actually free, was to be seen.
She was questioned, mostly about the rogue ninja, what they did, how many people they had hurt, how long they had been operating, where their base was, and many other things. In the first several attempts, she didnt speak. Not to anyone. After the interview, they had her constantly watched, but kept in a secure location. She felt trapped, and scared again. But the guards were kind, and brought her good food, not the crumbling leftovers that the rogues sometimes rewarded her with, when they were particularly generous. They spoke kindly to her, and brought her bits of candy at times.
She eventually began speaking, very little at first, but more and more as time went on. She began to reveal the locations of the base, last and all she could remember, all that they had done, who they had caused pain to, who they had robbed, though names she did not know, descriptions she did, vaguely. They eventually exhausted the information she had of the bandits, and then was left with what to do with her. She didnt want to leave, for she was cared for, and fed, protected. She would live within the village there after, and after an accident or two while living with various families which involved unknown explosions of a small, yet alarming, scale, she began being trained in the shinobi academy. She loved it, making many friends quickly, and always having someone to play with. They were the happiest times of her life, but she eventually was given her own home, and the loneliness set in again. She would spend very little time in her home, and would rather go out in the streets, or try to hang around the guards in various locations, but got in trouble on various occasions. She wasnt in big trouble, and the council understood. She was perscribed medication to help her sleep at night, so she wouldnt have to worry about being lonely at night, and placed a shinobi to watch her, to keep her from attempting suicide.
She was quickly assigned to Kumogakure to help strengthen the alliance, like a few before her. She wasnt excited about it in the begining, but had found the village very different, but fun from the one she had spent the last eight years in. She hoped to make her village proud, and to someday be called back home to stand guard there instead of Kumo. It was nice, but she longed to be where she knew she was understood, protected, and cared for.

Earth Release techniques have the ability to change the strength and composition of the earth from being as hard as metal to as soft as clay, as well as manipulating their density, making them heavier or lighter.
