| Nearly silver, blonde hair that flows with the wind... The crashing waves in the coastal port of Steel Country seems to be bustling with people. A flowing dress, and crystalline blue eyes... The people all seem happy, making orders and such. Their thoughts- filled with that of home, of fear from ninja, of financial problems. The happy expressions were just a cover... everyone at the port had their own problems, and tried to disguise it with a cheerful personality. A young girl walked past several of these people, her expression, without change, is that of pain. She winced every so often at what could only be described as a headache. She muttered to herself, her eyes shifting from one to the other. Finally, she made her way to the port docks, and she looked around for someone of importance to her.
There he was, a man with eyes and hair similar to her own, he waved her down, and she stepped towards him. "Ano, you wanted this... right?" He asked when she arrived, and pulled free a scroll with a strange emblem on it. She smiled brightly and nodded cheerfully. "Hai~ That's the one." He handed it to her, and she gave to him a small bag of ryo, which he counted out before smiling to her. "Arigatou." Then he turned to leave. She opened the scroll, and smiled at the contents... Exactly what she had been looking for- The Yamanaka clan technique, Mind-Body Switch. She looked over the instructions, and then left the territory rather quickly, shuffling the scroll away.
When she made it back to fire country, she went to find a small animal, finding herself a turtle near the river, she smiled to herself. "Perfect~ Slow moving and easy to target..." She began to practice the sealing for quite a while, watching the turtle and making sure it doesn't leave. After a short while, she pieced together the Yamanaka's spiritual handseal, creating a triangle with the turtle within the sight. Suddenly, the girl falls lifeless, and the turtle peers up. It glanced around, and saw her body from the distance. ... Excellent! This should prove very useful... She'd thought to herself, inside the mind of the turtle. She struggled to find a way back to her own body, and after a short while, managed to, as she rubbed her head for a long moment. "Ano... that's really interesting. I can't wait to try it out on some people..."

| The dusty sands blow through the country of wind, where a certain Yamanaka returns to the 'spotlight'. She flips her hair arrogantly, as she trudges through the sand, a low mutter escaping her lips, wishing she hadn't come. Though... where the honey goes, the flies are sure to follow. She made her way towards a small temple, around twelve miles outside the gates of Sunagakure, and reached out for the minds of the priests, whom quickly submit to her genjutsu. As she made her way inside, she found the temple priestess, whom was praying at the altar.
"Who are you... to desecrate my home?" The priestess asked. Yokuei looked confused, but she grinned rather darkly, and her response followed, "Hm hm~ My... I heard there were some scrolls held here, I was wondering if any belonged to me~?" The priestess stood to her feet and turned to face her, seeming a bit caught off guard at the woman. Her piercing eyes ran straight through the priestess' soul, and she tilted her head, waiting for her response. "A-Ahn... If you promise to leave, I'll show you..." With a reluctant sigh, the priestess showed Yokuei to the scroll room. While there, she gathered several genjutsu scrolls that caught her interest, before nodding to herself. "This is good enough." She turned to face the girl. "And for the first one..~" She opened a scroll, read it over, and then looked up at the girl. She grinned and set the scrolls aside, before she started to back up, and Yokuei handsealed. "Sorry, but I don't like people knowing I exist." ... She focused her chakra, and the woman fell to her knees, her mind wracking with madness as she succumbed to the genjutsu.
Yokuei shortly left the temple, but made plans to return, as she had quite a few other scrolls she had intended on stealing for the covenant. With her current prize, she stepped away, back into the desert, the shifting sands, hoping that Sunagakure takes a long while to catch on.

| Rain country now serves as a safe-haven for the little blonde-haired Yokuei. Close enough to wind country that she can retain a good observation on the sunagakure ninja, without being directly involved, through caravans and such. Their thoughts betray them, making it easy to obtain information... though, something has continued to elude her, since she's heard about it. This 'stone', that Inka boy mentioned before, in his thoughts. She's wanted to learn more about it, and nothing seemed to surface since that night she heard about it. This was the entirety of the reason she remained close enough to Wind Country's borders, to eavesdrop on the passerby's.
One such caravan passed, and she recognized something... the tattoos of the Inka she captured. Though, it wasn't him, no. There was no doubt about it- this man was not the same as the other... but the tattoos and hair color, even the eye color matched perfectly. She decided it was time to make herself apparent, and slid down the hill to meet him, waving cheerfully with a wide smile across her lips. "Ohaaaaiyo!" The Inka turned and looked to her, immediately setting his hand on the hilt of his katana. He searched her over for a long moment, before speaking, still tense. "What is it you need? We're very busy and must be on our way." She tilted her head, her smile still attached to her face, as she replied. "O-Oh! I was just.. I wanted to help out, you know? I'm kind of alone out here, and the silence is killing me... Would you mind if I tagged along?" He continued to watch her without a word for a good moment, before slowly relaxing. "Hai... I suppose. Hop in the carriage, we've got a long journey ahead."
After a few days of riding with them, she conversed with the now named Asura Inka. He was only a genin, and he was tasked with guarding the caravan to Tea Country. He remained silent as he walked alongside the caravan, his eyes cautiously looking around... unknowing of the threat that lurked right under his nose. As they made their way through the southern-most reaches of fire country, with nearly no problems, only coming across one small group of bandits that quickly lost their interest. Yokuei, on the caravan, spoke while laying across it, balancing on her elbows. "Neeh, Asura-san!" He rolled his eyes, and a thought crossed his mind. Why did I have to let her come along...? ".. Hai?" She just smiled and watched him for a moment, before suddenly leaping over the caravan and onto the ground... suddenly, the caravan stopped. "E-Eh?!" He stopped as well, though only because the caravan did. "What's wrong?" Curiously, he asked. Yokuei smiled and stepped over to him as her hand shone with a wicked blue hue, as she passed it over his eyes, and he suddenly fell to his knees, breathing heavily. "Wh-What!?" She smiled and then leaned over to look down to him, glaring right through his soul. "Tell me about this 'stone'. I'm curious." He panted heavily, having had most of his chakra just torn apart in an instant. "Wh-Wha..? I don't know what you're talking about! What stone?" She frowned and tilted her head, as his thoughts remained true to his words. "Mm... very well. I have no further use of you, but at least I can use you as bait. I'm sure your family will come running eventually."
She used the strange technique again, and he fell to the ground, unconscious, due to the lack of chakra. She lifted him with a heave and a grunt, and walked him to Otafuku Gai, a town near Tea Country. There, she rented out an inn room and had him tied to a chair, where she sat on the nearby bed and tapped her foot idly. "Mm, your caravan should make it just fine. They just needed to make it to the Land of Tea, right?" He slowly regained consciousness as she spoke, and coughed a little, with a confused grunt. She watched him for a long moment and then grinned, a hint of maliciousness hidden within. "Don't worry... I'm not going to kill you. But as my captive, you'll wish I would." | |
