The Rise of a Phoenix Queen (Erin's Promotion RP)

Quote :: Erin stepped out of the compound, the cool morning breeze blowing through her hair. She smiles a little as she glances skyward, her hazel eyes taking in the sun a moment. Her pack was full of rations, shuriken, kunai, and the like that she would need for the upcoming mission. A simple enough escort, moving supplies to Kumogakure, through an easy path that didn't come near Covenant forces.

She took a step, then another, followed by another. Eventually she found herself waiting outside of Kumogakure, for the Jounin with her exact orders. She'd go it alone on the way there, too make it easier to remain undetected, and then she would escort the small supply train to Kumogakure with their own guards.

The Jounin would step out of the shadows, walking over to Erin and passing her the scroll with her orders. "Here are your orders, Erin Senju. Be safe." He nods, winking to her before he walked back into Kumogakure.

A week passed as Erin made her way to the supply train, though she wasn't too tired, thanks to her Senju vitality and the occasional rest stop. She smiled to the Head of the supply train. "Erin Senju, of Kumogakure here to escort you." The man standing before her was an older man, a mean look to him, his black eyes looking over Erin slowly, carefully. Sizing her up in more ways than one. "They sent us a single wisp of a girl to help? Bah, we're doomed!" He turns, stomping back to the Chief of security for the supply train.

Erin smiles, flickering next to the man. "Don't worry, Taicho. I will not let you down.. I am a fairly capable Chuunin. I will protect you." She winks at him before flickering into the woods around them, moving about the trees as she keeps an eye out for trouble.

Taicho Jewkes shook his head, watching Erin's display with a huff. "I still think we're going to die.." Three days passed on the supply route towards Kumogakure, and on the fourth day a few hours into their march, several of the supply wagon wheels would be cut, warped, or the like. The wagons unable to go any further. Erin watching from outside the path, blinked as she took notice. Some of the guards dismounted, drawing their blades as they began to form a perimeter to ward off further surprise attacks, when suddenly a dozen shuriken went flying into their ranks, dropping three of the men, and further injuring two more. Erin cursed under her breath, hand sealing quickly as she dashes forward.

Erin charges herself as well as the Taicho and his second hand man with photonic energy to greatly enhance their reaction time and speed, granting them greater power with their momentum. As Erin reaches the scene, a Grand Fireball is unleashed upon the men, Erin barely managing to magnetically bursting the flames away from herself. Landing on her feet, she begins to pant, a sheen of sweat forming on her skin while she draws a Kunai, her eyes darting back and forth as she looks for the attacking Shinobi.

The woman steps out of the trees, along with 6 other Shinobi. Erin's eyes widen a little in shock as she notes the numerous Shinobi. "Soo ka.. You came with plenty of friends.. this should be interesting." She grins. The woman smirks back at Erin, a hand drawing a kunai as she drops into a stance. "Ah, hello there Kumo-nin. I am Renee. And I will be your killer today." She tosses the Kunai towards Erin, then rapidly hand sealing. She breathes fire into the air, forming a spear before she "grips" it, and launches it at Erin!

Erin lifts her kunai to deflect the incoming tool, though she is too distracted by it to notice the spear in time, the flaming spear blasting right into her guts and sending her flying as it burned and seared her flesh, not quite penetrating her flesh due to the barrier of her necklace, but she was definitely burning. Her eyes widen, the bile rising in her throat. The enemy forces moving through the supply wagons as Erin hand seals with one hand, clouds forming around her before she releases several bolts of lightning, arcing them towards the Shinobi. The Shattering Heavens hits most of her targets, scorching them each fairly well. She winces in pain, her eyes shifting skyward to the sun.

Erin made a hand seal with one hand, her other pressing to her injured stomach. Iron from the weapons littering the battlefield rises and shatters apart, dozens of barbed needles then blasting into a group of enemy Shinobi, covering them in the painful needles. Erin grits her teeth as she grins, a few moments the grin is gone as she notices that Renee had avoided her needle storm. "Damn.. where did she go?" And suddenly, Erin knew. Renee flickered next to Erin, thrusting a palm full of red flames towards Erin. Erin makes a quick hand seal, releasing a burst of magnetic force as she tries to force away the Kenoichi, barely managing to evade the attack. Panting as she glares at the woman, gritting her teeth. "I.. will kill you.." She hand seals, attempting to form an Iron Maiden around the woman, but before she can finish the woman is already hand sealing, and a column of flames rise up around Erin, scorching her body. Erin passes out from the flames, and the woman smirks, walking off to the regroup with her allies. They leave the broken wagons and survivors behind as they make off with the supplies, sealing away most of it into scrolls.

Erin awoke a few hours later, evaluating her physical condition as she begins to channel her chakra back into body, coaxing her chakra to work into her cells, slowly restoring her body to working condition. She grits her teeth as the pain courses through her body, but she wouldn't give up. Not now, this was her mission and she was going to be successful!

Soon her wounds were recovered and she'd stare up at the sun a few moments longer before moving towards the wagons, healing the survivors and taking assessment of available resources. "Taicho, can you get these wagons fixed by the time I return..?" The man nodded to Erin and she smiled to him before taking off to follow the tracks and signs of the fleeing Covenant forces.

Erin traveled for half the day before she caught up to them, camped in a small clearing, four of the Covenant Shinobi remained, as well as Renee. She'd need to be careful with that one. Erin watched them for a few hours, watching their patterns and waiting until they fell asleep. Once they had taken to their rest she would draw out one of her Kunai, molding the metal as she waited for the man to stand in the optimal position. Once in position, she hand seals, sending the kunai straight for the man's neck, molding the metal to form a blade at the last instant, letting the blade cleave through the man's neck.

Erin then returns the Kunai to herself, moving about the camp and slicing the throat of the remaining Covenant forces, except for Renee. Suddenly, Erin was surrounded by flames as a Fireball launched into her, sending her spiraling through the woods and air. She'd get to her feet quickly, looking around as she pants, upon spotting Renee she'd quickly hand seal, drawing her chakra around the woman and magnetically gripping her to the ground. She grins as the woman is held in place. She'd then quickly hand seal once more, letting her powder trail out to form an Iron Maiden around the woman, and then.. she released the spikes in the Maiden, letting the Iron Maiden penetrate the woman's body and bleed her out.

While she waited, she hand sealed, etching a seal on herself with her chakra, enhancing her Elemental chakra's power. She'd followed thise up by forming a static aura of lightning around her body, charging up the Raiton chakra in her body as she prepared to deal with the woman. Soon, the Iron Maiden would be blasted apart by Renee's flames, the woman glaring at Erin, revealing her contempt for Kumo nin. She hand seals rapidly as she takes note of Erin, a vortex of storm clouds beginning to form, and Erin quickly hand seals in turn, releasing a Lightning Tiger towards the woman, in hopes to catch her before the Katon jutsu rained down on her!

And boom! The Shinobi goes flying back into the woods as Erin's Raiton Tiger manages to strike her before the Katon jutsu finished, Erin nods, flickering to follow up, drawing out her Kunai and finishing the job as she ended the Covenant woman. Erin then goes to collect the scrolls containing the supply train's goods, and anything of use from the Covenant Nin. Erin would then lift off into the night and fly back towards the supply wagon, landing a little ways off before making her way back. Finding the wagons back in order, Erin would go about unsealing the scrolls and letting them reorganize the goods. Soon they were off again towards Kumogakure, supplies in tow.
