It had been a long morning, Yuki had been practicing since dawn and wasn’t about to stop anytime soon. Earlier, she recalled attempting one of the most important gentle fist skills, precision point escape. Of course, it wasn’t one that was taxing on chakra as the others but having the ability to escape from physicals constraints is not anything to scoff at. The silver haired genin frowned as she once again prepared the wire traps she used to snare herself.
Setting down the amateur trap Yuki walked into it. The blindfold did nothing to prepare her for the snare, as no matter how hard she focused; she could not hear the silent wires cut through the air- not yet anyway.
A hiss left her lips as the trap went off. The sudden jolt caused by the ricocheting strings jerking her up into the air. Yuki winced as the wires dug into her flesh, but rather than react, she stilled. She focused and her eyes dilated.
“Byakugan!”
Chakra flooded towards her eyes as the world came to life, her black and empty vision now bright with the colours. Her gaze flickered between the wires and the base as she studied the way in which she was snared.
The tree branches moaned and craned as the wires tugged them down, using Yuki's form as the force behind their strain. The leaves rustled as a cool breeze brushed past and the birds chirped, the girl too busy studying the snare to focus on the beauty around her.
“Wires around my arms, one wrapped around my waist whilst the last draped around my thigh.”
As she silently analyzed the situation, she subconsciously focused her chakra so she could optimize the amount she used, after all- skill with byakugan focused entirely on the precision of one’s chakra manipulation. She relaxed, ignoring the wires that sunk further into her skin, tightened by the force of gravity.
“Precision point escape!”
Suddenly, the chakra within her body flooded out towards the snared regions of her body, the sheer force of it engulfing Yuki in a pulsing silvery blue glow. The wires twanged as the chakra forcibly forced the wires apart, just enough for her to shift within it. Her lips set in a smirk as she tried to slip through the wires- one moment of arrogance was all it took. Her chakra levels fluctuated and the wires forced apart recoiled and sliced through her skin, leaving her snared- albeit in a more comfortable position. Yuki stayed still, contemplating the situation...At this point, there wasn’t much she could do with her arms snared.
And that’s when Yuki Himitsu realized... She was stuck.

By now the sun had begun to set. Several hours have past seen Yuki was first snared and yet there she still was, wires coiled around her body. She had realized hours ago, that without mastering her precision point escape, she would inevitably remain as she was. She inhaled gently as she slowed her body’s energy consumption, pushing herself to meditate even in such an awkward position. She needed to increase her chakra’s recovery after all. For hours her form remained completely still as she let her mind dwell and her inner focus strengthen.
Her thoughts roamed to regions of her mind she had not stopped to contemplate seriously, particularly the formation of her team, team 8. Uncharacteristically, she cursed as she discovered she was to be paired with Amegawa Saru. She had never really interacted with him, but she knew he had a reputation. He was hot heated, rude, obnoxious and irritatingly arrogant. All qualities she disliked in an individual.
They had always belonged to separate places. He was known to her as a loner who enjoyed fighting and masked his desire for it behind the guise of helping the weak. She was popular and surrounded by admirers who considered her to be a “Calm, collected, beauty who was amazing even though she was blind.”
She and Amegawa had never really crossed paths, and now she realized there was a reason they didn’t. Simply put, it’s because they were two very different people, with very different ideals. Two people who would not get on well. Not at all. There wasn't much else to say on the matter, for whoever created the group was a fool who likely drew names from a hat.
To her utter dismay, she knew that once the teams were picked unless something drastic happens, they would be stuck together until they graduated. The path she had to take was clear. Firstly, she would need to minimize contact and interactions with Amegawa to the bare minimum. Next and the most important, is that she had to train and work every single day, until she could not move. And when the chance arose? She would take the Chounin exams and she would pass flawlessly. That is her only conceivable route.
Her thoughts then moved to linger on her third squadmate, the curvaceous blonde, Amariss. Yuki hadn't heard of her in the academy, a different class perhaps, but with Amariss in their squad, Yuki thought the missions may be –slightly- more tolerable. Yuki’s first impression of the girl was not bad, but it was not great either. She seemed to be a klutz of sorts, perhaps a bit of an airhead. However, she does mean well and does have kind intentions... Well, aside from taking liberties with hugs and needless contact- after all, eluding to Amegawa that Yuki had all but ravaged her breast with her hands was hardly what happened on their first encounter. Truth be told, Amariss had taken yuki’s hand and used it to grope her own chest to prove that she had spoke the truth when she claimed to having large breasts.
Yuki saw no point to the action at all and retracted her hand as soon as she could without appearing rude and yet displaying that she did not care for the gesture to be repeated. To Yuki, her comrade’s breast size was hardly something worth knowing. She could have been training rather than wasting the few precious moments. Frankly, she had no real opinion of the girl yet, but Yuki’s thought led her to be slightly wary of her, something about her certainly wasn’t normal.
And lastly, there’s her sensei. To date, not a word was heard from them or about them. This led Yuki to presume they too were an idiot, not only so, but likely also lazy and thus, someone she would find irritating. There wasn’t much to do about that really, all she could do was wait for them to make themselves known... She just had to wait. Much like the trap she was currently snared in, after all, all things take time.
A cool breeze lapped at her exposed skin. It was past dusk now. The temperature had dropped noticeably, her skin prickled to emphasize the point. Yuki’s eyes fluttered open and she suppressed the shiver. She left her musing, it was time. She felt her chakra return to its peak. She exhaled softly and maintained her focus.
“Complete focus, it’s only a rank C, you achieved a rank B more easily.” She murmured to herself as she let her chakra pulse and flow through her veins. With an advanced precision, she sent the shockwaves of chakra towards the binds. The wires twanged as they were strained, the tree branches moaned as they were tugged further down.
“Just a little more...”
Yuki released more chakra, the steady flow causing her hair to ripple outwards. And with a quick twirl and a flip she managed to slip out of the snare. She paused, panting softly, a faint smile on her lips. 8 hours later, Yuki had finally managed to get out of the bind.
She exhaled softly, wincing as she examined the deep marks left behind by the wires on her flesh.
“Tcch, tissue degeneration, bruising and a lingering pain...” She ran her slender fingers over the painfully obvious markings.
“It’s time to get home and explain why I am late...” she touched her bandages, “Otto-san won’t be happy...” With the last thought, Yuki packed up her belongings and left the forest edge to return to her home, likely to return once again to practice- after all, she had not mastered the precision point escape.

Yuki had recently begun meditating in slightly more... Unique way. It had all started with inspiration from the Kiri survivor, Shiro. The man had intrigued Yuki, if only mildly to preoccupy her thought whilst she trained. His breadth of knowledge of Kiri and its customs, particularly given his age was astounding. She guessed he was no older than his late teens, but spoke words of knowledge she had no expected someone other than herself to indulge in.
Yuki’s profound knowledge comes from strict and relentless schedules assigned to her by her father. After all, if the Kazekage decided to keep her as an asset to their village, they didn’t simply want a Hyuga, they wanted the best Hyuga and hence forth came the orders for Yuki’s intensive lessons. She was trained in numerous skills; assassination, vast amounts of medical knowledge that would aid her with jutsu as well as the quick crippling of enemies, history, psychology and much more. However, the details are a tale for another time.
Yuki’s current state of meditation is due to the man, Shiro’s, technique. She felt something whilst he meditated, a primal force but she wasn’t sure if it was only a feeling- no, it couldn’t have been. She had sensed it with her Byakugan. The unique energy led her to believe that there was more to her prowess than simple physical training. She needed to train her mind, train her eyes and expand her chakra pools. And thus this new meditation technique was formed.
Currently, Yuki sat with her Byakugan fully activated- and it has been so for quite some time. Her biggest weakness was her blindness and the only way in which she can overcome it, is through Byakugan. Not to misunderstand, Yuki has trained endlessly with her eyes, but it was training too utilize them, not to enhance them. Her vision was superb. She could see clearly for kilometres on end, her limit currently being as far as 6 kilometers. She was able to pinpoint specific chakra, tracking and visualizing from a range that is normally impossible for normal people.
But that was a different training; it was utility, not quality. Her eyes, as effective as they are, were too taxing on her body. She needed to focus, to draw out the inner chakra reserves that are often sealed within one’s body. She needed to be more precise, more accurate in her chakra distribution. Her eyes consume a lot of her chakra, but she knew she carelessly channelled it to her eyes. And thus began the current training, where she would sit for as long as she can in byakugan.
She focused entirely on every last drop of chakra, nanodrop, by nanodrop she pooled the energy towards her eyes to find out the minimum amount needed to maximize her eyes. She could not afford to waste any extra chakra, not as she was.
Yuki was no fool, she knew her weakness. Compared to an ordinary citizen her heighten senses, even without sight, could easily foil an incoming attack. However, someone like Erin-sempai or worse, Kirito-san whose steps were completely silent leaves her utterly defenceless without her Byakugan. She needed to master her skills if she’s to have any hope of surviving life as a shinobi.

Yuki panted softly as she entered the forest clearing.
“D-damn it, the venom is spreading.” Yuki dropped to her knees, a thin sheen of sweat coating her body. Her body ached and she felt exhausted, she cursed silently to herself. If she had only seen the attack coming, the explosive range of the venom took her by surprised when the idiot Shiro killed the Snake shinobi.
Yuki’s expression laced with distaste as she dwelled on the man she once thought favourably of. To think Shiro would turn out to be such an obnoxious and immature brat was not what she had expected. He had seemed to wise and patient upon their previous meeting. Someone who would be more than he seemed. A mistake on her part.
When he could not follow a simple plan, which was simply to wait. Yuki gritted her teeth, the pain and frustration getting the best of her. The snake was just about to reveal intel. Clearly the mist Ninja are up to something and they had almost discovered it. She shifted lightly, crossing her legs and sending chakra to her eyes.
“Byakugan!”
She sat in silence, remaining perfectly still so as not to agitate her muscles. Her chakra rippled through her body as she calmed to resume her meditating, ignoring the occasional aches, no matter the aching pain it caused. Her eyes dilated and the world around her came to life once again. She could see everything, tiny flickers of Chakra in animals. She could focus on objects, or even see clearly through them if she so desired. She exhaled softly, returning to her thoughts as she began her enhancive training regime.
Thinking back on the mission, Yuki let her mind wander and register all that occurred. She recalled that Shiro's timing was a little too perfect, for him to slay the snake just as he was about to reveal sensitive information. Perhaps it was going to reveal what the strange mist was, the one that interfered with her Byakugan’s field of vision. Something just seemed a little off.
“Tcch.”
That aside, Amegawa almost drowned her. Yuki twitched in irritation at the memory, yet another idiot who couldn’t be thoughtful for one second. All she asked was that he kindly warn her when he was about to dive so she could time holding her breath with the dive. Such a simple, thoughtful action couldn’t compute in his primitive mind. How was she supposed to work with someone like him?
“I came back for you.”
She scoffed, thinking back. What good had that done when she had almost drowned. The nerve of that idiot! And he couldn’t even must the integrity to apologize.
“Tcch... My luck be damned. Why do I need to work with him of all people?! Isn’t it enough of a handicap that I am blind?!”
“Well whatever, wishing for otherwise is impossible-" She paused her brows rising as the realization dawned on her.
"Or perhaps not? Our sensei hasn’t been allocated and I received no direct order... Perhaps what Amegawa heard was only speculation?... Perhaps I can be recruited into another squad! I will need to invest some time looking into th-hng”
Her thoughts were cut off as a searing pain rose in her muscles and she bit down on her lip to stifle the urge to cry out.
“Damn it...”
Whilst I appreciate Mijmaru-san finding me once the mission was over and offering me a few more useful trinkets, if he had done something about neutralizing poison, she would have been a little better off. No matter, she would go to the hospital; they ought to have something for the pain. If not? She could make the medicine herself. Yuki winced and got to her feet, making her way to Kumogakure, her pupils shrinking as she gradually cancelled her Byakugan. There was so much to do, she couldn't afford to be bed ridden because of this poison.

It had been more than a day since Yuki returned to the forest clearing. From missions to illness, she couldn’t muster the energy to resume her training. The muscle pains and fatigue caused by the snake’s venom had lasted some time, even with all the medication from the hospital, all she did was prolong the symptoms. However, that was all Yuki needed. A mission was assigned to her to scout for two missing Iwa-shinobi. Yuki was surprised, given that a blind genin was assigned the job, however it was later elaborated that her enhanced senses and her impeccable hearing makes her one of the most effective sensory ninja currently at their disposal. After all, with all the rocks in the earth country, sound travelled quickly and for prolonged distances.
She began her mission by taking one of the interchangeable ships between the cloud village and the rock village, from then, her mission began. It seemed that the ones assigning the missions judged correctly, the shinobi were not hard to find, not for her anyway. From the highest peak on the outskirts of rock, her Byakugan soon revealed the location of the missing shinobi. And they were not alone. Yuki could see 4 more chakra signals and a 5th in the distance.
Her eyes dilated further.
“Tcch.” She cursed to herself as she saw one of the Iwa shinobi collapse, and his appearance was familiar. She had been on a mission with him previously; he has yet to introduce himself so she had no name to place for him. Yuki bent her knees and leaped off the edge of the cliff, nimbly hopping from one place to the other, making a beeline towards the group of people.
Several minutes later, she slowed her pace, her ears perking as she picked up the sound of the fighting. Yuki slowed and dropped to the shadows, sneaking closer, using the cool shade to reveal to her when she was within the shadow’s embrace. She exhaled softly, she wasn’t too far away now- and they hadn’t seen her yet.
She tilted her head, releasing into Byakugan as she assessed the situation. Indeed, the Iwa shinobi was down for the count. The younger genin was holding his own against the other two, they had managed to bring down one bandit but 2 remained. She watched and tensed as one dived for the child, slicing cleanly onto his chest with a kunai.
“Tcch.” She cursed and dove forward from the shadows, the bandit was painfully. Before anyone knew she was there, she was already on him. She stabbed her fingers into the side of his neck, her tripple Jyuuken training allowed her to strike consecutively at blinding speeds. And that’s exactly what she did. In under a second she had already struck his chakra pores thrice, instantly ending his life.
The young Iwa genin seemed to feel reassured and ended the last bandit’s life with a well placed shrukien/kunai combo to the head. She exhaled softly, and turned to the fallen genin, immediately going to administer first aid. The young genin seemed particularly suspicious of her, but relaxed once he realized she was aiding his fallen comrade and saw the kumo headband she wore around her eyes. Yuki had relaxed after he started stirring, moving to tend to the young genin’s injuries as well.
It hadn’t taken her too long to mend their wounds, however, it seemed the iwa-shinobi she had worked with previously needed assistance. He was far too wounded to make it back alone, so she aided him. She herself wasn’t feeling too well. The effect of the medicine was wearing out and she was starting to ache. After a few minutes conversing, she took her leave, rushing towards the air ships.
She needed to get to Kumo and head to the hospital.

| Location: Secluded forest clearing. Open to: Anyone who's happened to lurk the lighting Kingdom's forest Note: She's whilst napping, Yuki's used to keeping her senses on high alert, sneaking, will be possible up to a certain distance.
Yuki walked into the clearing, sighing softly as she felt the cool autumn breeze brush up against her skin. It’s been a rather chaotic couple of days with all that’s happened with missions and social complexities. Previously, she’d all but collapsed at the hospital entrance. Luckily, she was quickly found and tended to. Kumogakure’s Iryojutsu was impressive to say the least, she was quickly able to recover and was soon allowed to be on her way.
Her body still ached, however, at the very least she wasn’t in an immense amount of pain anymore. She had made her way to the arena where she resumed her combat training. After all, the best way to make the aching abide was to stretch one’s muscles and exercise. What was surprising to her, was what came during her training. Amegawa had actually come to find her, to apologize for his actions during the mission. I.e: Almost drowning her and being particularly uncooperative.
Yuki had listened to his words critically. She wasn’t particularly upset by the matter anymore; after all, it wasn’t like she held on to such emotions for prolonged time. She accepted his apology for the most part, but that didn’t change the fact she understood clearly that they would not be a functional team. He was hot headed, boisterous and proud. She was cool, calm and collected. She could not deny that the boy had amazing potential as a shinobi, however it was meaningless if they fought their battles as 3 individuals instead of 1 cohesive team. She told him clearly that she wouldn’t be a part of his team, not unless a sensei officially places her within his team and rejects her appeal to leave it.
All in all their discussion had gone smoothly, and for the most part, there were no underlying insults. If that wasn’t enough of an oddity, the next to find her was Shiro. The kiri shinobi called her out to the arena and left a blade on the floor in front of her before apologizing. Once again, much like Amegawa, she saw no need to reject his apology. However, she could not trust him completely, nor would she happily go on missions with him given his often patronizing tone and impatient persona. Alas, the discussion ended smoothly and at the end of it all she discovered the meaning of a handshake. A gesture she thought only slightly less ridiculous and pointless than what is called hugging.
She had also encountered Senju Kaito, apparently, Erin sempai had a younger brother who graduated the Academy. He seemed pleasant enough, certainly mellow enough for her liking. He tended to keep to himself which she preferred.
She exhaled softly as she shook her head out of her thoughts. It was time she focused on enhancing her eyes. Yuki moved to the centre of the clearing, sitting with her legs crossed, she placed her palms together and relaxed, letting the chakra flow seamlessly within her veins.
“Byakugan!”
The chakra swirled, focusing and pooling around her silver eyes. The world around her came to life as it often did, in a way similar to one having lived in utter darkness and to suddenly have someone flick the lights on. A gentle smile tugged on her lips as the vivid world around her was visible to her once more. She could see more than just life, she could see the teaming amount of chakra that flowed in the land. In the very air she breathed.
She let herself get lost in the world around her, using the serene tranquillity as a way to facilitate her focus. She let them go, every drop of chakra, focused and concentrated. She could feel it, she could sense that her eyes were at full power and yet she still had more than half the chakra she usually spent to keep her eyes focused.
Yuki held this state for several minutes, her eyes bright with chakra as she optimized their ability. Yes! She could finally control her chakra! Yuki furrowed her brows as she lost her focus, the chakra pooling more avidly than she wished and just as soon as she succeeded, she lost it.
“Tcch... So close.” She panted softly and her eyes returned to normal. Yuki groaned and flopped onto her back, her arms spread wide as she caught her breath. Her pale skin glistened with sweat and she breathed a sigh as the autumn’s sun gently lapped at her skin. Eventually, her breathing evened and Yuki found herself drifting off to sleep.

| Yuki came upon the clearing that she was so familiar with. She inhaled deeply, holding the crisp morning air in her lungs before exhaling softly. It was not so often that Yuki feels inadequate, but this moment was one of those rare cases. She realised when it came to knowledge and theoretical tactics she was a prodigy- even amongst the Himitsu house… And yet, she could not shake off this feeling of inadequacy. Whilst being a shinobi requires tact and intelligence, the patients of a hunter and the wisdom of an owl- there was more to advancing and surviving in this world, something she seemed to lack in comparison to her peers- strength and physical prowess.
It had always been the case, since she was infant in her noble Hyuga home. She was a delicate child, one that held incredible skill with byakugan however seemed to be lacking physically. She mastered the lower ranked abilities, swiftly and without instruction however it had always concerned the elders that she bruised so easily, that she were so delicate of build. Her father would often argue that the gentle fist was just that, gentle- and that she should focus on her precision rather than the strength that the others seemed to have- and it had stuck to her. Even after the Kumokagure anbu placed the memory seal on her eyes, Seiji himitsu her "father" said the same thing in her memories.
Yuki got into a defensive stance, this was no longer the case. Whilst she may not need strength, she does need physical prowess. She needs to be able to dodge and successfully land her attacks. It didn't matter how prodigious her chakra manipulation and understanding was, if she was not physically able to match her mental prowess than it was all void- she could teach and understand, but she could not make use of it in battle. And thus began her physical training.
Yuki would rise earlier than usual, by 4 am she was already at her secluded clearing. By 5 she'd have several laps and exercises. By 6 she'd completed the blind dodging routine, attaching kunai's to several wires and dispersing sound jutsu before they came lashing out at her from several directions. The training was brutal and she often found herself painfully stabbed by several kunai. However, she did not stop- with iryojutsu she could continue for hours- and she did. Her progress was stagnant, gaining muscle was difficult for her but she pursued, days went by and she persevered relentless to improve herself. By noon on the second week, she had taken a break, eating briefly and shutting her eyes as she glances skywards.
"What can I possibly do?" She mused out loud. She thought silently, her mind wracking through the knowledge she had before her eyes widened and she bolted up, glancing at her hands. "Of course…" she whispered softly. The realisation came that there was another way, and she was particularly lucky as it suited her just fine. She exhaled softly and crossed her legs, hand in her lap as her hair rippled outwards. She focused her chakra, channeling precise amounts to all the muscles of her body and she winced as she focused, entering a meditative state. The medical jutsu entered her cells, activating the tissue within her muscles. If she couldn't increase her muscle mass.. She was just going to increase the efficiency and strength of the muscles she currently had and it would succeed, for she was an tactical prodigy. If she set her mind to a plan- it would never fail.

| Kumokagure agent, Field Medic as well as undercover Himitsu liaison.
Yuki's had undergone special opts training for years, pushed upon her by the Himitsu house, the ANBU family entrusted with the upbringing of one of Kumogakure's secret assets, the cultivated Hyuuga heiress. Thanks to her adoptive father, one of the captains of the ANBU, Himitsu Seiji, Yuki was pushed to the limit of her physical strength. She had endured daily ANBU training, most of which left her bruised and close to unconsciousness. However that''s not to be misunderstood as a weakness, for the delicate looking girl endured and overcame the harshest of jounin level training, amazing if not baffling her father and the other instructors. In their eyes, she was indeed a prodigy, one with an immense and intrinsic understanding of chakra, execution and tactical combat. The combination of her special eyes and her ability to run all possible scenarios in her mind in mere seconds made her a terrifying opponent.
Yuki played on her supposed blindness, blending in and lagging behind her peers to distract attention from herself. She was taught everything she needed about deceit, the seal on her eyes limiting her conscious berating her for all whom she deceived. There was always a fear that limiting her conscious would make her a bloodthirsty remorseless killer, yet... Her keen sense of awareness and the prodigy's ability to rationalise and foresee every outcome kept her in check. She could predict that every action had a consequence and whist she would feel no remorse for killing, she is able to foresee that doing so would place in an awkward predicament that would jeopardise her identity, and the true role she played as a direct informant to the Himitsu house, and thus a liaison to the ANBU information network.
Thus began her duties, her guise would be a field medical operative. This way, she could benefit shinobi teams with her prodigy skills in iryojutsu and chakra manipulation, all the while using her missions to scale secondary informant assignments in the region she was assigned to.
Yuki tugged her stockings on, she reached upwards and flicker her long, shimmering, silver hair over her shoulder as she leaned over and pulled on her black heeled boots. So had come the day when Yuki received orders from the ANBU captain. "So it begins.." She murmured softly as she rose, she smoothed out her attire proudly tying her rank around her bicep. Yuki, prodigy of the Himitsu house and secret asset to Kumokagure's ANBU, was ready to begin her first day as an ANBU Liaison. She was to be of help to Kumokagure, the purpose of her existence was to dive into the darkness of the shinobi world, to show the world that she, Himitsu Yuki was Kumokagure's most valuable secret.
