“As a baby he hardly ever cried and was hardly ever ill, and as a small boy Ishi was quiet, and he didn't have many friends. But when we sought refuge in Sunagakure and we enrolled him in the academy, he was never the same. They came to us and told us he was special and that he could help the village. We were fleeing Rice country. How were we to know this would happen?“ – Yugato Habinatu, Ishi’s Father He grew up quiet and alone but it didn't seem to bother him as it would most children. Ishi by his very nature was a loner. Quiet, always calm and some would even say displaced from the world around him.  His quiet and wide eyed view of the world was unique for a child removed from his home by war. His parents often worried if something was wrong with him. Which only increase by his mother after Ishi walked up to her one day holding out his hand, calm, quiet, and bleeding profusely from his palm where he had slashed his hand open. In a panic Ishi’s mother rushed him to get help but the boy didn't cry, didn't seem scared at all. Later when asked why he didn't cry his answer made his parents worry, “It didn't hurt.” Ishi and Isobu “Two sides of the same coin.” When Ishi’s parents were approached about their son by the Village Elders about the special chakra Ishi possessed they were surprised and worried. What they were being asked was well known to be dangerous and that the potential risk was also high. As his parents spoke Ishi listened from a nearby doorway speaking up softly. “What is a tailed beast?” As the quiet boy stepped into the room the group of adults looked at him in surprise, none more so than his own parents. As the Inka Elder explained what a tailed beast was to Ishi, and what the three tailed beast looked like vaguely Ishi smiled. “I like turtles, Mom can I have the turtle?” He asked innocently not realizing what the adults had been speaking about and what he was asking for. Weeks would pass and the silent boy continued to leave his hints, as he left countless drawings of turtles everywhere. Eventually the day came that the Hokage himself came to the family’s door to see Ishi and his family. The Inkan Hokage sat and spoke with the Ishi’s parents while two ANBU sat with the boy in his room sharing in the unplanned staring contest and silence. Finally after an hour Ishi’s parents came into the room with the Hokage, his mother crying and his father smiling weakly as they hugged him and told him he needed to go with the Hokage. It would be weeks before Isobu returned home to his parents. The quiet boy ran up to his parents and hugged them immediately telling them about all the things he had seen and his new friend. The quiet and aloof child was now happy and talkative. As the shocked parents sat with the Kazekage and Hokage they surprised to hear that the process had gone off without a hitch, even the tailed beast did not seem to struggle after being sealed. The idea was unheard of and after seeing how Ishi had transformed after, the two Kage's wished to keep an eye on the new jinchuriki and his development. Over the next few weeks Ishi's family was moved from their lower income home into a nicer area of Sunagakre. Ishi was seen every other week and it was soon discovered that the boy was growing at an accelerated rate. By the age of thirteen Ishi was five feet and ten inches, by the time he graduated the academy at fifteen he was six feet and one inch. The large child was obviously big for his age but appeared to be in perfect health. So much so that he seemed to be the very definition of physical health. As time would go on Ishi could be ween from time to time with his eyes glazed over with a blank stare and when asked what the look was for he would reply that he was just thinking or joke that he was talking with the voice in his head. Little did they know as they laughed with him, he was serious.

The jinchūriki have shown to have access to the tailed beasts' massive chakra reserves and, by training, develop unique fighting styles and use the tailed beasts' considerable abilities: Gaara manipulates sand, Yugito breathes fire, Yagura materializes coral, Rōshi creates and manipulates lava, Utakata creates a corrosive alkali, Fū is capable of flight, Killer B produces ink, and Naruto has quick regeneration and can detect negative emotions. Much like Isobi's previous host's, Ishi has shown the ability to create coral wherever he saw fit. Ranging from covering his body in a dangerous spiked shell to even using the creeping coral to encase those who attacked him. Another odd thing about the "child" was his size. After the three tails was sealed within Ishi his body began to grow. As a result his fighting technique became a bit of an oddity, instead of relying on his physical strength or speed he relied on his “presence”, throwing his body’s weight into his punches. Slower and not the strongest of his peers his fighting style coupled with his resilient ability to shrug off most damage made the young man an obvious threat when encountered.

RP: The jinchūriki have the potential to control their tailed beasts' power, but require intense training and sheer willpower in order to properly wield it. According to Gerotora, whenever the jinchūriki draws out a certain amount of the tailed beasts' chakra, the beasts' very own psyche will fuse along with it, which usually involves an inner struggle between them as the jinchūriki goes deeper into their tailed beasts' forms. If a jinchūriki were to completely give into its influence, the seal which contains them will break and the tailed beast will be released. For the jinchūriki to have complete control, they must find something to fill in the void of loneliness within their hearts to give them strength.

Taijutsu (体術; Literally meaning "Body Techniques") is a basic form of techniques and refers to any techniques involving the martial arts or the optimization of natural human abilities. Taijutsu is executed by directly accessing the user's physical and mental energies, relying on the stamina and strength gained through training. It typically does not require chakra, though chakra may be used to enhance its techniques. Taijutsu generally requires no hand seals to perform, occasionally making use of certain stances or poses and are much quicker to use than ninjutsu or genjutsu. Taijutsu is simply put: hand-to-hand combat.

Although it is used by nearly all ninja, some characters use taijutsu almost exclusively like Rock Lee and his teacher Might Guy, are experts of many taijutsu techniques. Example of taijutsu techniques are Dynamic Entry and Leaf Whirlwind. The Hyūga clan's Gentle Fist, however, makes extensive use of chakra and demands great skill in its control. The taijutsu techniques are the right choices for those that want to save their time and chakra, or for those who rely on their physical attributes. It can also be used uniquely in collaboration with ninjutsu to create nintaijutsu techniques.[/td]

Water Release (水遁, Suiton; English TV "Water Style") is one of the basic elemental nature transformation techniques that allow the user to manipulate pre-existing water, or create their own, by turning their chakra into water. It takes much more ability to create the water outside the body than to manipulate what is already available or expel it from their mouths. One of the most versatile of the five basic chakra natures, Water Release techniques can not only change shape but state as well. Moreover, the water becomes more solid in the process as well. The water affinity is seemingly more common amongst shinobi of Kirigakure. Offensive water techniques seem to inflict harm from the sudden force that they exert, which would cause massive internal damage to a human.

The Coral Technique is an advanced Water Release technique. This technique is formed when the user condenses Water Release chakra before summoning it.  The user can then summon the coral to serve different purposes such as shaping it in the form of a shield, a blade on the user's arm or just to simply rupture from the ground under the opponent. This move is very hard to dodge as the coral sprouts almost instantly anywhere on the battlefield.

The Yin–Yang Release (陰陽遁, Onmyōton, In'yōton; English TV "Shadow and Light Style") techniques make simultaneous use of Yin Release and Yang Release. Yin relates to one's spiritual energy and Yang relates to one's physical energy and it's necessary to utilise both of these in order to mould chakra for ninjutsu. According to Yamato, the manipulation of Yin and Yang is the source of non-elemental techniques such as the Shadow Imitation Technique, Multi-Size Technique, medical ninjutsu, genjutsu, etc.
