Gaining of power through the pursuit of knowledge

The greatest power, is the power of knowledge.

This is how sensui has lived his life from the very moment he was able to think of his own accord and the way he saw the world, and how he wishes to change it. Always with his head and mind in books, others around him, though not engaging in the conversations -- he would study them, and absorb all that he could in order to learn as fast as possible. He has found many opinions, and facts over the years, forged strategies in his mind and put them into execution, always planning dozens of moves ahead in any given situation.

While sitting in the Sunagakure library, studying over a certain relic that he came into possession of, he was greeted by a small black bird, a raven of all things. The ravens head tilts slightly as he looks to sensui, as if its calculating eyes were studying him. Sensui too, studied the Raven wondering what the meaning of this could be. Clutched in the Ravens talon was a small scroll, a note. The note was a map of sorts, hidden deep within the country of tea.

"Interesting.." Which seems to be a catch phrase of sensui's -- "I have heard tales of animals and spirits coming to shinobi who may be deemed worth to make a pact. I will accept the challenge, and gain further knowledge of this for myself."

Sensui leaves the library looking completely torn in disaray, and heads to Tea country. He goes by boat, once he reaches the allied country of the Samurai. First time on sea, he cant help but look up to the beautiful sky and the billowing clouds ahead, as well as change his emerald gaze downward to the deep blue sea. Letting the wind from the current flow freely through his raven black hair. "Life of the sea, is not all that bad. However, I do not know if I could live like this forever." He seems to speak to himself.

Its not long before the captain shouts "Land ho!~" and the passengers disembark from the vessel. Sensui then walks off the ship, and opens the map once more. Following the directions, he seems to have come into a rather deep forest. There is a cave in the forest, that is where it is supposed to be, and it is fairly well hidden.

"Lets see, this could be tricky but...It seems my awakened blood is more of a gift so far, then a curse... Lets hope it stays that way." Sensui closes his eyes, and manifests the power of emotion in order to bring forth the crimson flare of the Sharingan -- Using its visual prowess he looks for an unfamiliar chakra pattern that hes never seen before. He sensed it almost immediately, the power was pretty immense, but did not seem like normal chakra to him.

"Strange, yet interesting...I wonder how far down the rabbit hole goes..." He says to himself, growing a light smirk on his face. He follows the chakra trail, and finds the cave easy enough. Once he enters the cave, he can feel eyes watching him, dozens of red eyes set their glare upon him, though they remain silent in the shadows. Not too long after, Sensui comes to a dead end, and he glances about, looking at all the etches on the cave walls. There is a picture, of a two ravens, surrounded by the leader of the ravens, a larger one who seems to have a gigantic wing span. He studied it a bit further, and moves closer, using his chakra to climb up the wall he notices something peculiar about the head raven painting.

"What is.." He moves up near its eye, and pushes it. Its a switch, and from such the slab of rock opens up. The rock face, sliding upward, and reveals a larger chunk of earth that seems like a platform in the center of this new room.

"Very interesting. You've peaked my interest..." He advances, stepping onto the platform -- The platform takes a few moments, before sudeenly a creeking is heard, and sensui is raised, by this elevator type platform. By the time it stops, he finds himself up on the mountain top, with a giant raven keeping its wise gaze down on him, its wingspan, larger then anything hes seen before, and his eyes reflexively widen.

"So you are the one, that we've been watching. Smaller, then what I would have guessed." The raven 'king' seems to say, speaking the common tongue perfectly.

"I could say the same thing about you, Raven, however the flip side of the coin, where I imagine you to be much smaller." He retorts, still not using titles, its not his way.

"Ah, yes I have been told you do not show proper respects young one, however, that is not why we've taken an interest. You have lead many missions, even as a young Genin, and your strategies have been sound. Tell me, why do you thirst for knowledge so?" The Raven king responds, its eyes never moving from sensui's form.

Without hesitation sensui responds

"Knowledge is Power. The tides of any battle, physical or mental -- Spiritual can be turned in an instant if you have the right knowledge to fight with. I study relentlessly for this reason. My mind is my gift, my weapon...and like a blade needs a whetstone, my mind needs knowledge, to keep sharp."

The raven king does not respond for what seems like forever, before he lets out an earth shattering caw -- before long another, smaller raven arrives with a large scroll in its beak.

"This is the summoning contract for our spirits. We deem you worthy, as an apprentice if you'd like to study our ways, as well as the ways of the world."

Sensui tilts his head, his gaze going over the scroll before he lets a simple smile leave his lips, quickly fading however, he approaches. "It is all I ever wanted, in the past. Knowledge that surpasses most. I could use some help in the coming days, and I'm sure I have much to learn yet. I would be honored to accept this pact."

Sensui moves to the scroll, taking a kunai and cutting his finger, he makes the blood pact,


"Knowledge is power, and my power...is knowledge."
