Shuyin Takanayagi - Fragments of Memory

[b][center]Sitting on at the entrance to the compound to the Wheat and Rice fields Shuyin would overlook the land a blissful smile dancing across his lips as he watches the leaves flow through the wind as the workers happily maintain their daily struggles not to only continue living but to embrace the life styles they had chosen the smell of the wheat and rice fields mixing together as its carried off by the wind filling your senses with the tranquility that resides within the calming aroma a soft twang is heard in the background as Shuyin would look back slightly in curiosity turning slightly in his seiza position he'd remain in place as the sounds begin to play calmly before looking back out to the fields of workers Jasriel stepping up slightly as she smiles down to her son, these sounds filling their mind body and soul with its melodic tune. Each twang of the string of the Shamisen echoing about the courtyard of the Takanyagi Family farm. The home filled with such lively people and lively sounds that it has became a sense of sanctuary to the young mans growing soul as he looks up to his mother calmly he'd hear her speak in a soft tone along with the melody of the shamisen that burns this moment into his very mind.

" The Temple will be having a festival today Shuyin. You should go get changed into your Yukata when your done watching the workers. "

Nodding slightly Shuyin would look back to the workers as his mother walks off to begin her own preparations for the festival. Slowly as time passes the Shamisen stops playing and Shuyin would stand to turn back to the sounds of voices as a large man he has yet to really see leave his mothers room wearing peculiar shinobi gear glancing out the corner of his eyes the man would cast his glance upon the small form of Shuyin before raising an Anbu mask to his face and flickering off with a sudden gust of wind. Looking back to his mothers room Shuyin's gaze would rest upon his mother wearing a beautiful kimono that captivates each curvature of her form though his eyes would look up to her pain filled expression as tears roll down her cheeks Shuyin would wearily step off into the home moving towards his own room of which he begin to slowly change into his yukata his mind would begin to race with thoughts of 'who was that man?' , 'why was mother crying when he left?' , 'is there anything I can do to make mother smile again?' , 'did I cause mother to cry?' these questions sending the young shuyin into a bewilderment as he slides his arms into each of his sleeves calmly he'd look up to the ceiling calmly as he tightened the sash around his waist. Turning he'd step out of the room and close the door behind him his crimson red eyes filled with a weariness that he cannot seem to understand himself as he walks up to his mother and grandfather waiting at the entrance to the home. Shuyin's eyes would look up to his grandfather before looking to his mother as his worries wash away seeing her smile once again. Running up beside his mother he'd take her hand as they leave the compound and begin to travel along the road towards the temple the clacking of Jasriel's sandals striking the stone tablets beneath their feet as the near the temple Shuyin would look up to his mother with a smile as his face begins to light up from the light of the lanterns that hang freely beside the road the sounds of the festival filling the air as laughter and joy amongst the families that attended the festivities. A familiar giggle would be heard in Shuyin's ear as his eyes begin to frantically look around the area as they rest upon the girl he had met once before in the bamboo forest. His crimson red gaze meeting her crystal blue eyes that seem to shimmer like the sun reflecting off the surface of the depths of the ocean. Letting go of his mothers hand he'd run off after the little girl by the name of Rimi Ayame. Ichiro would look onto the small girl as a weary feeling fills his heart he'd remain silent as to let Shuyin enjoy his time in the festivities. Jasriel remaining with her father-in-law as they wander about the festival not to far from Shuyin as they too begin to enjoy themselves. Shuyin following Rimi through the crowd, dancing along with her to avoid bumping into the adults that tower above them as they slowly work their way into a clearing where Rimi would stop suddenly as Shuyin would bump into her slightly as they both stagger. Rimi would squeal slightly as she runs with open arms prancing towards a woman whom eyes never meet Shuyin's gaze. The woman kneeling down slightly as she picks up her daughter in a loving embrace the two remaining locked as the woman stares Shuyin down. Frozen slightly Shuyin would lose his breath for only a moment as Jasriel walks up beside her son placing her hand ontop of his head as his body begins to relax slightly the woman and Rimi leave silently. Shuyin would only think...

Those eyes...

The wonderous sounds of Kusagakures wildlife chirp freely as the wind gracefully carries the sound to the lullaby the sun shining as it caresses the skin of the young boy resting his head upon the ladies lap. Her velvet kimono scattered with pink cherry blossom designs would crinkle slightly beneath the resting head of the child as she softly hums the lullaby passed down from wife to wife of the men of the Takanayagi Family. The calming sweet sounds filled the air each melodic turn of the lullaby gracing Shuyin's ears as he'd rest calmly in his mothers lap. Black bangs falling over his innocent restful gaze casting a veil over his face as the sounds of grass breaking beneath approaching footsteps is heard to the entrance of the farm in the distance the figure would appear the womans soft blue shimmering eyes casting themselves upon the child resting in Jasriel's lap as she removes her hand from the hilt of her blade the approaching figure would stand calmly at the steps to the Takanayagi Family home as her voice harsh and viperous would hiss the words of distain and spite towards the woman kneeling on the wooden platform before her.

" Your family will fall beneath the strength and ferocity of the Ayame Clan. Our Dou will remove your presence and taint from this Village and mark a new Era for Kusagakure. "

Jasriel would calmly place her hand on the side of Shuyin's resting head as she finishes the Lullaby her eyes opening slowly as she'd look to the woman standing before the Takanayagi Home a strong pressure filling the air around her as her gaze narrows upon the woman. Though calm in aura, fierce in presence her voice speaks with a soft melodic hum to it a hidden hint of hatred despite her posture and presence is overwhelming as she brushes her thumb along Shuyin's cheek lovingly.

" So glad for you to drop by Kikyo Ayame, we're unfortunately busy at the moment and my son here is resting you see so we cant properly greet such esteemed guests to our humble abode. So if you'll kindly turn around and leave the way you came it would be very much appreciated, Kikyo Ayame.... "

Standing still slightly Kikyo caught off guard by the sudden pressure that had filled the air her Ki falling short in comparison to the vast amounts the woman kneeling before her produced as a slight spiteful 'tch' leaves her lips Kikyo would turn around and begin to walk away a chill shivers down her spine as a voice echoes from behind her. The wind picking up slightly as the once calm voice turned cold as the final parting words break the seal of Jasriel's lips.

" And... If you ever threaten my family again. I will break you. "

Shaking slightly kikyo placing her hand on her hilt as she'd grin in a sick sense of joy at the threat before inclining her head and strolling off without missing a beat in her step. Slowly the sound of breaking grass beneath her feet leaves the Takanayagi Families land as Jasriel continues to brush the hair of her now fast asleep child upon her lap.

[b][center]The subtle scent of sunflowers fill the air as Shuyin innocently chases the blue eyed girl through the grassy plains of Kusagakure the lights beating down upon the land as a gentle wisp of the breeze would caress the lands to carry the scent of the sunflowers around the two. Calmly the two would stop as the ground trembles beneath their feet smoke rising in the distance as screams of pain are heard echoeing from the fields of the Takanayagi Family Compound. Rushing towards the smoke as the heat rises the two would fall amongst the field of sunflowers as the smell of ash clouds the air and shrouds the sky in its darkness. looking through the flames of the gate to the compound shuyin's crimson red gaze would rest upon the scene as his eyes meet his mother forcing back Kikyo against the pillar off the walkway, debris surrounding the compound as the sound of clashing blades echoe throughout the scene Ayame Family shinobi battling together against those of the Takanayagi Lineage. The Clash in itself would draw out their own battle as the girl laying next to Shuyin would turn over grabbing Shuyin by the shoulders and roll him over as she positions herself on his stomach her hands quickly grasping his neck as she begins to choke him as hard as her tiny hands could. Raising his arms up before separating them outwards he'd force her to break her grasp as he rolls her over onto her back as he bucks his hip gripping her wrists as he slams them into the ground his eyes widening as he looks down to the girl beneath him.



" What is your family doing!? "

" Shut up Sei-trash! "

She'd clench her legs around Shuyin's waist as she forces her chest up and slams her forehead against his own heavily as Shuyin would be forced to let go falling back slightly as she constricts her abs forcing her body to rise as Shuyin falls backwards and she releases her clench around his waist as she lands on her feet and sends a double one-two punch towards Shuyin's chin as he hits the ground heavily looking along the burning fields his eyes watch as the clashes continue within the compound his eyes widening as he hears Rinn approaching him to finish the job Shuyin would rotate at his hip swinging his legs out wide as he sweaps out Rinns feet from beneath her landing on his own two feet Beside her Shuyin would drop a knee down onto her sternum before driving his fist down to the bridge of her nose as the light fades from her eyes the last image she would see is Shuyin pained over defeating her like this as she slips into unconsciousness Shuyin would push off from the floor and dart into the compound his eyes searching the scene feverishly as he looks to the ground covered in the white ashes of the burning fields blood sprayed throughout those very ashes as his eyes fall upon Kikyo whom layed dead to the world. His gaze shaking slightly as he experiences the sight of death for the first time before blacking out, falling to the ashes below.



Slowly awakening Shuyin would hear a muffled cry of despersation as his mother appears before him tears rolling down her cheeks before picking Shuyin up into her arms and escaping the wild flames that have taken over their compound. Embers lifting into the air as they stop in the distance to watch as there home continues to burn the sounds of crashing buildings echo throughout the vast fields that once surrounded the compound with its scent of livelihood having now been a simple sign of death and decay the smell of ash being the only scent that fills the air.
