Yokuei's Catch!

[Entry One]

Eh, looks like I caught myself a good pair... the girl though, I don't know who she is, but she's friends with this Katriana girl. She's an Inka, so she should be worth a lot to her. The other two are another Inka, and a Yamanaka- part of my own family. He's certain to fetch a good price, I'm sure his mommy wants him back~ She doodles something on the paper. The Inka boy though, he was pretty strong. Took me all I had to make sure he didn't kill me... Definitely need to watch out for him. And who knows? Maybe he's a good candidate for the covenant as well! Never seen an Inka in our line of work... but there's a first time for everything, right?

She listens to the muttering down the hall, in the prisoner's cell. She groans to herself and finds a few loafs of bread, and goes towards the room, handing them their rolls, then heads back to her room, to continue writing in the journal.

Ahh... gave the brats some food. Need to keep them alive, at least until we give them back. Sucks that we have to... I'd rather keep them for myself~ Too bad that I can't... Jiatsu-nee came to help me earlier, so I'm really grateful! I would've been just fine, if that Katriana didn't show up though... I was already almost dead as it was! Oh well... At least I'm gonna make some money out of it. Hopefully it covers the hospital bill...

Another recent entry follows, as she went back into the room after a long conversation with her prisoners.

Well~ I tried convincing the Yamanaka boy to kill the other girl, in exchange for his freedom.. but it didn't work. He's too weak, and I was hoping for a good show, too... Oh well. When the Inka woke up though, I learned of something very interesting... the Inka were hiding some kind of stone. I'll have to do more research to find out more... of course, that research involves dealing with more Inka, haha.

[Entry Two]

It seems my sister's a little more... thoughtful of others than I'd hoped for. She let me take her prisoner in exchange for her friend's safety... Mm. While I wouldn't let such a simple catch free... she's my sister, and the only one from our family whom doesn't hate me. So I gave her the generosity of listening to her, and let her friend go. Sad, really... but there was someone else there that was a little scary, to me. The strangest thing- I couldn't quite peek into his mind, just like my contractor. So, I had reason to fear him... not many people can block out my telepathy, and those that can are extremely powerful. I had best watch my back around him, if I ever saw him again.

I decided that I'd torture my little... sister. Of course, the irony in that, is that she really is little. Something one of my allies did the other day shrunk her to pint-size! It was a little funny at the time, and she was definitely cute... but the effects seem to wear off pretty fast. She's returning to her original size now, and will probably be back to her old self by tomorrow morning... which means I should probably change her chains, so they fit her, and don't squeeze off her hands. ... Haha. That'd be a little interesting to watch. Well, so far she hasn't given me the information I'm looking for... hopefully that will change by tomorrow.

Yokuei closes her journal and seals it with the silk lock and ties it shut. Then, she hides it away, before tending to a wound she had gotten earlier that day, expecting to have it healed by the following morning, by a medical shinobi, that she of course paid to work. She then lays softly into her bed, passing out with a low sigh, as she tried to think of something other than her sister.
