Harmony of the Armory Empty
PostSubject: Harmony of the Armory   Harmony of the Armory Icon_minitimeTue Feb 26, 2013 1:48 am

~With the latest threat directed at Sunagakure, Juzo had taken to filling a large amount of his time working in the armory, more so than he usually did. His hammer constantly sounding out against steel pressed against the anvil in front of him, though his movements were hasted, his quality of work was not. With each strike, a flicker of blue chakra sparked into the air, striking withe purpose and effort as he churned out finely crafted, if mundane they were still able to be charged with chakra easy enough, blade after blade, varying his metal working with creating ninja tools, be they small shuriken and kunai to the larger windmill shuriken.

~He had never pushed himself this hard, but he had a deep purpose this time. He had the refugees of Konohagakure and those of his own village to support now, everyone needed weapons and tools, especially in Wind Country, with those of wind chakra capabilities were wide and far, chakra blades and tools would become of great use in the coming threat that was announced far and wide, targeting his village. Hours and hours passed, taking only breaks to steal a quick drink before he set back to work, beads of sweat riddling his body as they coursed over the contours of his muscles and gathering on his forehead and falling to the red-hot glowing metal in front of to disappear into a sizzle of steam as they hit the blade.

~The sun had far set and now the only light in the armory was that of the torches and still lit forges. His hammer continuously ringing against his current project, echoing out within the building. As the echos rung out, they were joined by the ring of fresh strikes, causing a harmony of metal to resonate within the structure as Juzo labored away. Crafting, honing, polishing, sharpening, reforming, repairing anything that he could get his hands on. Time continued on, into a new day as the sun rose high into the sky, the shinobi would still be found working behind the anvil until he ran out of supplies for the moment. Slowly he carried his body to the oasis where he collapsed against a stone structure, not bothering to acknowledge any he passed on his way to catch some rest so that he may continue his work to supply the village with a greater fighting chance as others worked solely on their own bodies.

~His labors continued on, for now, he was solely focused on aiding in the Armory with what he could, no matter the work. Recently, it had been helping out with the metal working involved with tools, mechanisms, and weapons for puppets. Not quite his strong suit, but he was capable nonetheless. He needed the practice anyhow in the detail work of intricate mechanisms; it would help further what he was capable of in the way of weapons he would be able to create in the future. He moved away from the anvil to his work bench, sorting through a few new tools he had acquired, looking them over carefully and planning out the next process for creating the locking joint for the puppet he was currently working on. His mind wandering slightly as he did.

~He was also sure Mikoto would appreciate what ever aid he could give, as with the recent happenings involving himself as well as the rest of his clan, he needn't worry over such menial tasks that he was capable of handling himself. Quite fond of that Inkan, he held many good traits that Juzo admired, his willingness to help others and his protective nature towards his sister. A smile touched his lips upon those thoughts as he worked the much smaller and lighter hammer, shaping the small piece of metal into its intricate shape that would fit like a puzzle piece to complete the mechanism shown on the blueprints.

PostSubject: Coming Home   Harmony of the Armory Icon_minitimeMon Apr 15, 2013 1:05 pm

~He had recently returned from a "vacation" out of the village, where he went to, he hasn't spoken to of anyone, nor will he really upfront tell anyone if asked. Of course, his first stop on his return to the village was the Armory, stopping in to check in on his tools and projects that he left unfinished during his rather impromptu and immediate departure. He moved over to his forge that had long tasted the blazing inferno it so constantly poured out during Juzo's working hours, taking a look inside of it to make sure there was no structural damage inside before moving on to his workbench, sorting through the various equipment and making some adjustments to how things were arranged and set up before taking his leave of the quiet and dimly building.

~Walking through the night air, his usual carefree and happy-go-lucky smile found its way to his lips as he wandered through the open streets of Sunagakure. As his feet carried his body north through the settlement, his head was tilted back to stare up at the diamond filled sky, his eyes scanning over the various stars and celestial bodies that decorated the dark canvas above. Finally reaching his destination, he took to his usual spot by the village oasis, slipping his straw sandals from his feet and digging his toes into the cool sand, letting each small grain fall into place around the digits as his feet sunk into the terrain. His arms lifted up above his head, reaching high in a stretch as his back arched a bit before he settled down into place. Adjusting himself until he was comfortable, he dozed off to take a quick nap, despite the odd hour, murmuring to himself, "I suppose it is nice to be back home."

~His first mission that he had been assigned to since his return was not what he exactly expected. A hostage situation at the Western Wind Temple, Amegakure scouts seemed to have advanced ahead of the Covenant forces and waylaid travelers making their way to Sunagakure for safety. He wasn't quite expecting to be put in charge of this mission, but it seems that was how things were going to work out. Travelling through the desert wasn't difficult, as it never had been anything extraordinary for him, making good time towards the shinobi team's destination. When they arrived, their trained eyes easily spotted the target enemies, along with a few extra surprises. Explosive tags were set up along the bridge, it seemed that the Covenant were willing to either sacrifice themselves to make sure the hostages remained in their possession or to make sure that none of the hostages got the idea to prematurely flee.

~As their plan was formed, Juzo made his way to the four shinobi standing guard along the bridge, playing distraction for the other three to make their way unnoticed. Though his job was important, the work of the others was completely vital to the success of this mission. He did not know the three shinobi he was assigned to work with at all, only that one was an Inuzuka, so he had to place a gambling bet that each would be able to handle themselves and improvise should things not go according to plan. But luckily, for the most part things did. The two seemingly fresh shinobi girls were sent around back to make sure the hostages were safe and secured and ready to be moved when the time came, also to check for the presence of any other hostiles in the area. While Juzo had assigned the young freshly graduated Inuzuka to disarm the explosive tags set on the bridge while Amegakure shinobi were distracted.

~He hated putting on an act further than the one he already upheld constantly, though, this one wouldn't be too hard to push onto the four targets. Playing the naive young Wind Country traveler needing to spend time at the temple wasn't all too difficult, once their attention was grabbed, currency was then involved. As he spilled the large portion of his coin onto the ground, it would be hard for anyone working for the ideals of power to ignore such easy coin from a fumbling fool. Gathering further attention and even pulling a couple of the guards closer, he felt confident that they were sufficiently distracted. When he noticed a small signal out of the corner of his eyes from Shippo he then made his move, drawing his sword with a skilled hand and starting what he had been craving for a long time.

~As the altercation furthered and the rest of his team joined in, they got to work rather efficiently. With the progression of the small skirmish, he knew they wanted to take at least one captive alive, but with his sword drawn he was finding it rather hard to keep at least one living as he cleaved one of the unfortunate shinobi in two, wanting to draw more and more blood. As he leaped towards his next victim, he found his sword was just a hair off from ending his target's life, standing over the faintly breathing figure with his sword just ready to move in and take the life and shed even more blood. People wondered why he didn't spar often, or at all; he didn't view his way of combat as a way to spar, his weapons were used to kill not to beat someone unconscious in a play-fight. As his thoughts snapped back to the then-and-now his eyes lifted from the shallow breathing body behind him and to the one trying to escape. For some reason, the attempt to flee dug its way under his skin, as the Inuzuka pup stopped his first attempt to flee, Juzo flanked his way behind the shinobi, laying a low slash downward and causing him to leap up and over Juzo, in the opposite direction he was trying to run. Of course, the shinobi continued his attempt to flee, and unfortunately for him, those that wished to avoid ending lives were preoccupied securing one of the Amegakure-nin as Juzo's sword impaled the fleeing target, freeing the last of the lifeblood from his now corpse onto the ground at his feet.

~Overall he wasn't disappointed with the outcome of the mission, none were really angered outwardly at his disregard for the enemy life and things were carried out rather flawless by the team he led. Successful as any mission could be, with two captives to hopefully provide possible information.
