The Dysphoria of Toxicity Empty
PostSubject: The Dysphoria of Toxicity   The Dysphoria of Toxicity Icon_minitimeSun Feb 17, 2013 3:01 pm

Part 1 -- Before finding himself in Cloud.

There once was a boy, who was long since abandoned by his family. He was made to grow up fast, and on his own. He never understood why he was alone, why he was left by those who were supposed to love him no matter what...abandoned, alone, afraid, Hiromasa still attempted to find his path, find those who would accept him or at least have him around. There were those who would try, however whenever he would stay somewhere for an extended period of time, they would succumb to a sickness and he would be forced out of the home.

He finds himself in a forest, a strong powerful, almost spiritual forest. This forest has a sense of glow to it, and maturity....strength beyond its years as if its being grown by some other power. He makes this his home, gathering berries and wood in order to sustain himself for a couple days. However, he soon realized, that when he had gathered the berries and undid the pouch, all the berries were rotten, and eaten through. The wood, he had gathered, black like charcoal.

"Why....Why does this happen." He says in a solemn tone, however quickly growing apathetic

"What is my purpose, who am I, and where do I belong. Thats all I want to know."

Hiromasa sits in the center of the grove he had found, a light beams down and rests on him. He takes in the heat of the light and offers a faint smile, taking it as a sign that there is yet hope. From the brush of the woods a hermit of sorts makes himself known. He walks over to Hiromasa and closes his eyes a moment, taking in a breath. He opens his eyes and tilts his head, offering a light smile and an extended hand. "Come, cousin. All of us have the same problems as you, until we are taught at least some bit of control."

Hiromasa was confused by this hermits meaning, but he nods and takes his hand. Standing he just watches this man in awe, someone who is talking to him, someone who is teaching him.

"Listen." The hermit says "You are of the Senju clan, and it seems you were most unfortunate with your birthright. You see some of us gain powers that can protect, some that give life...some that take life." With that he casts his eyes over to Hiromasa. "You must choose what you will use them for, I will not forge your path, only teach you the basics of chakra control, so that you will not kill everything that you come into contact with, or worse attempt to do it on the wrong person without knowing, and losing your own life. There are already so few of us left."

-----

With that some few years have passed, and he had learned the very basics of chakra control from this hermit.

"You see, I also have a gift, however I know how to control it. It was not always this way, do you have any idea how awkward it is to summon a tree inside of a building when you're supposed to be taking a silent test!? Its very awkward let me tell you."

Hiromasa tilts his head. "You can create trees?"

The hermit smiles "Ah, yes. Well wood really, but tree's seem to be just as natural to me as -- well you'll understand someday. Here a demonstration."

With that the hermit summons up some chakra, and places his hands on the ground, sprouting up more tree's that seem to haunt Hiromasa with how beautiful they are, how strong and un-moving as if even the tree's are set in their path and know their place.

In the next passing days, the hermit forced chakra out of Hiromasa, and once the chakra was tapped into, a green mist fog of poison and toxicity came seeping from his pores and outward, the grass around him slowly dieing off, the branches of the tree's becoming rotten and snapping off from the main tree trunk they're attached too. Even the hermit had a hard time resisting its toxicity and had to launch himself backward. After all his chakra was gone, Hiromasa huffs and puffs, this being the first time hes seen his own power work so quickly.

"Do not worry, young one. Our powers seem to be more powerful when you cannot control them or your own chakra. However, as you see, you would not survive long if you leave it that way, someone will eventually kill you for not understanding what you are....or for understanding exactly what you are."

Training this way went on for the next few weeks, and Hiromasa seemed to be making progress. He would enjoy waking up and having his lessens, spending time with the hermit, however it was soon to end, and once more he would be alone.

Hiromasa wakes up the next day, to find a note carved in a chunk of wood, and a pendent that lay beside it. "Hiromasa, you have learned the basics well, and there is nothing more I can, or will teach you. I am no instructor, I have chosen my life of solitude and I am happy with it. Now you must go, and make your own path. Choose your own destiny and grasp it. I leave you this pendent, a keep-sake of mine for you. Perhaps one day, you will learn how to use it."

With that, Hiromasa was once more alone. He takes the pendent, and wraps it around his neck. He leaves the forest saddened and once again, without a place in the world.

Part 2 -- Joining Kumogakure

After being on his own for awhile, and continuing to practice the chakra control that the hermit had taught him, hes able able to now go into taverns and find odd jobs in order to make some money and live for awhile. Hiromasa finds himself cleaning dishes in the back of a tavern, when he overhears and see's two shinobi enter and start talking about their times in Kumogakure. They spoke so highly of this place, that Hiromasa finished the dishes he was working on before peeking his way out into the lobby. Just breaching into his teenage years, he curiously eavesdrops a bit closer. He continues to hear them talk about the missions they had just done, and about how they got money to do this.

Why cant I get money in this place that seems to be a sort of family...Can I belong to a place like this? -- Hiromasa thinks to himself before he comes around the corner, to let himself be completely seen. He slowly pads near the shinobi and tilts his head

"Ano...Where is this place that you're talking about? Do you ...Do you think that I could help out and live there?'' Hiromasa's green eyes plead for acceptance, and a place to belong once again.

The two shinobi tilt their heads at the boy and they shake their head. "What are you talking about? This is a dangerous life, its not for everyone kid, especially those who are just cleaning dishes. Just stay here, where you belong."

"I do not belong here!!" Hiromasa shouts "Please!~ I just want to belong somewhere...I can be useful, a hermit in the forest said I was a Senju!! Please I can be of use, he told me so, he said i'd be okay once I learn how to control what I am..."

Hearing this the two shinobi's eyes raise a bit and they look at eachother, sharing some whispered words. They then look back at Hiromasa again and let out light sighs. "Very well kid, I dont know if you're telling the truth, but if what you say is true then there could be use for you. We'll let our higher ups decide what to do with you..."

They travel to Kumogakure, taking their time so that Hiromasa could also observe his surroundings. They are taking their time as Hiromasa is not used to running at such accelerated speeds. He was taught how to ues the chakra and harness it under his feet in order to run faster, but now for such an extended period of time. They dash through the forests and up a cliff face, climbing hills and stone steps until they come to a clearing. They seem so high up because they are breaching cloud banks, and through the mists there it is, his potential new home...his new way of life, this is Kumogakure, and this is where his life as a true shinobi begins.

------

The two shinobi escort Hiromasa to their superiors and he takes him in and examines him. He takes him to the hospital so that the medical shinobi can give him a physical and also to gauge his chakra levels. The medical shinobi takes a step back, not expecting him to have such high chakra levels as an untrained shinobi.

"Who are you.." The medical proctor asks him.

"Hiromasa.." He says softly, unsure as to where the doctor was going with this.

"I see, well it seems your chakra level is pretty high. Do you know how to use it?"

"Kind of...I mean a hermit taught me what he called the basics...he was able to create and manipulate tree's! It was pretty amazing, but he taught me how to slightly control whatever it is I do in order to not deteriorate everything around me instantly."

The medical shinobi nods and gives hiromasa's file to the jounin that brought him in. The jounin tilts his head and looks over the charts, taking in the information, before he looks at Hiromasa and offers a nod. "Follow me.."

-------

They wander the village for a bit, and then he is taken to the cloud acadamy. The jounin grabs one of the acadamy instructors, and tells him to test Hiromasa on the basics and see where he is at. The instructor nods, but seems a bit curious at the odd request. The instructor takes Hiromasa and asks him to climb the wall with his chakra.

Hiromasa smiles slight, he had done this before though with tree's. "Okay.." He says, and closes his eyes, gathering up the chakra on the bottoms of his feet, keeping it at a steady and constant level. He runs forward and runs up the wall, getting to the top before flailing back downward. He also is made to create a clone, which he also does, and then to throw some basic kunai and shurikan. He didnt do too well at that part, but enough to suffice. Finally the instructor gives the jounin the nod, with a somewhat amazed look on his face.

The jounin then looks to Hiromasa and asks him with a stern tone "Are you able to do anything else that we should know about?"

Hiromasa hesitates a moment, before answering. He wants to lie, in order to not be shunned away, however its obvious that there is something he can do, and this jounin would not be easily fooled.

"Hai.." Hiromasa says "But its dangerous, I dont like to let it run free. I am always having to supress it, so I dont contaminate everyone around me.."

The jounin raises a single eye-brow, seemingly interested "Show me."

Hiromasa seems to hesitate yet again, but eventually lets free his holds that he has been doing the whole time. A thin green mist starts to appear and surround the jounin, the poison mist, toxifying the mind of the jounin until he succumbs to the effects. The jounin allowing himself to be taken so he can experience it, and when it is all over, the jounin is bent on a knee, coughing and panting heavilly. A slight bit of blood drips out of his mouth but he smiles

"Good, we have found a good weapon. Welcome to Kumogakure, young Genin." The jounin tosses a kit to Hiromasa, and he takes it, looking at the headband and the toolbag, along with the boots. He smiles a bit, not quite sure what it is hes gotten himself into, but he accepts it nonetheless, happy that once again, he is somewhere he can call home.

"However~" The jounin adds. "You must be careful. Do not allow yourself to hurt the villagers or other shinobi of this village by letting yourself get out of control. It may be best that you stay to yourself for now, until you're trained a bit more.."

Hiromasa nods slightly, eyes facing downward and thoughts in his head that seem to ring...

"Accepted, only to be shunned away in a corner. Is this my fate forever?"
